HALLE BAILEY as ARIEL in THE LITTLE MERMAID (2023)
isabela souza as beatriz 'bia' urquiza in disney bia's season two episode 32
Honesyly though one of the biggest reasons why I love Francesca & Diego so much is is that they can be professional and work together despite any drama that's happening. Take for instance their trip to Madrid, during that time Francesca discovered that Diego was playing Vilu and yet she didn't let it ruin their performance. Or maybe an even better example of when they were dating, when after Violetta discovered them and they had to perform a duet together during the show and we're fighting because of the music producer, they still went up and performed and didn't cause any drama. It just shows that they are very professional and can keep private and work related things seperate. Which is kind of the opposite of many other couples (especially Vilu & Léon). And it's also one of the reasons why I have a headcanon that they work together at Art Rebel after they graduated. Honestly, such an underated power couple. I just love that they don't have too much drama going on, and if they have they always keep it private!
the artemis fowl movie (from what can be gleamed from the trailer) makes it overwhelmingly clear why film/show adaptations of popular children's/young adult novels keep failing — or at the very least, fail to appeal/satisfy the original audience.
series like artemis fowl find success because their authors realize that kids actually like complex and innovative storylines. they like moral quandaries and unusual conflict. they like twelve-year-olds who are just terrible.
so pulling out everything that's interesting and appealing about the original story so you can replace it with a role model who gets to be the hero doesn't just disrespect the source material — it disrespects the target audience.
disney saw the book series was popular and assumed they just needed fairies with technology.
the trailer looks more like a movie for 6- 8-year-olds — bright and unambiguous. artemis is good and he's an action hero! his dad is cool! he's got neat friends! look at this sick gun!
12-year-olds don't want that. they want feral and ridiculous. they want to see themselves fucking with the fantasy police. they want confusion! drama!
in conclusion, stop taking the teeth out of books when adapting them just because you assume complex plots and political/social commentary go over kids' heads. they don't — we loved those series because they taught us those things and treated us like competent readers.
“Who did it better?”/”¿Quién lo hizo mejor?”Disney LA edition!!
Hi all, I created a little Disney LA survey for Bia, Soy Luna, & Violetta!
https://forms.gle/dtRtqivwHM4yWe7y8
I genuinely love all 3 series and and am in no way trying to pit them against each other in a vicious battle, but rather to compare how certain areas of the shows outshone others, and which show people tend to gravitate towards simply out of curiosity.
Open to fans of 1, 2, or all 3.
I will share the results after I get a fair amount of responses.
Hey entrelazados fandom! Please if possible could we tag post in regards to the episode they correspond? That way those spacing it out (watching it in the next few weeks) can engage in the fandom without being spoiled, and also participate in the fandom without being spoiled. Please consider doing this when tagging, it would be really nice of you and helpful. This is @assim-eu-sou ‘s really cool idea and I just made the tag.
For example:
#entrelazados episode 1
#entrelazados episode 2
I know it’s an extra effort, but it would be really helpful for those of us spacing the show out.
I decided to make a soy luna tag since no one has done it yet. i have taken it upon myself to do this. it’s not that great, but i kinda like it lol

I completely understand that the Lion King remake (and a lot of the recent Disney live action remakes as well) are unnecessary and most don't live up to their original films but DAMNIT I have enjoyed all of them so far and I look forward to seeing them.
