IDV Brainrot is Real: The Boys are Disney Princesses (ft. Rapunzel)
Fun fact: The lady who helped me at my local BBW said Rapunzel's was the most popular scent. Deserved honestly.
Today I went to Bath and Body Works (love that place) cause they have a Disney Princess promotion going on and one of my favorite princesses is Rapunzel (Tangled is a gem of a movie all should watch!!).
Anyways, I think thanks to @ficsbyvesper filling my head with genderbended princesses with COA Richard being so Disney-coded with his little cuckoo bird, I thought how Florian too could fit Rapunzel’s story.
Blondes (Fin is kinda off-white blondish but whatever) filled with curiosity but trapped in their own lil world until someone comes along to drag them into "A Whole New World~” (wrong Disney movie but classic). And yes, I will never get over COA Fin’s lore.
Not only that but Rapunzel following along with Mother Gothel’s teachings/orders for so long without question reminds me of how Fin was like that with the adults at the orphanage and went along with what they told him to do (the charity events and managing the other kids).
Until they both rebel in their own little ways.
I can't believe I'm comparing them in this way but I have seriously wondered why Florian only left the orphanage when he was nearly an adult. He was very well-liked by everyone so how was he NOT adopted??? Was something or someone keeping him there or did he not feel like anyone could replace his parents? Hmmm...
… but I’m serious guys when I say you can find inspiration for IDV fanart, fanfics, and more anywhere and everywhere.
Only thing is, I can’t imagine Fin with long flowing hair like Rapunzel LOL
But interesting facts about her hair is that the reason her hair is so blonde in the first place is because Rapunzel’s mother became very sick when she was pregnant with her. Rapunzel would’ve died too if it wasn’t for the Sundrop flower which saved them both and gave Rapunzel her long golden hair and healing powers through it.
So yeah, she’s kinda the princess of the sun. Like her kingdom even adopted the sun as its symbol. And thanks to COA, we all know who now canonically symbolizes the sun, right…?
I legit still can't get over this either. Like excuse me...? LOL
Also, no one talked about this, not even me until now but I find it sweet what Alice says here. She basically compliments him and I just feel like he takes it so logically lol.
Anyways, this is also probably just me wanting one of my faves to be like one of my fave Disney princesses (if not my favorite).
But I wonder who Richard would be? Snow White (I just think of the birds always around her) or maybe Cinderella? Only because Cinderella was stuck with a family she wasn’t related to by blood (terrible stepmother and sisters) and a fairy Godmother came along to help find her a prince that helped her escape that life (So kinda like how Valentina may have helped Richard, y’know?)
Interestingly, one of the stepsisters does get better in a later Cinderella movie and Cinderella herself forgives her and helps her I believe (it’s been years, guys) but yeah…interesting parallels there.
Okay, I’m going to stop because this is truly my limit here lol. I hope I didn’t sound too much like I was on something else here but the parallels and ideas were just flowing out. (I feel bad though for not talking about Edgar though…who would he be? Hmm…)
