Coming from Northern California, it seems like it was just yesterday that our “local guy” was working to bring to the silver screen a movie he had imagined since his own childhood and he invited many of us to come along for the ride and help bring the dream to really. For me, it was working as an extra and a production assistant. We knew from the beginning that we were a part of something the likes of which no one had ever seen. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Ultimately, none of us could ever imagine how life would be forever changed because of this. For us, it was a labor of love. Work felt as though we were given the gift of being a little kid again and the freedom of play and imagination that comes with living life in the moment brings. It was about family nights at the ranch, that unique feeling of knowing that no matter what our role was in helping to bring our neighbor’s dream to life that The Force was strong with this project. Apparently the rest of the universe agreed and on May 25, 1977, the world was transported to a galaxy far, far away as Star Wars launched its way into theaters and into our hearts and souls.⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ The world will once again be forever changed when on August 29, 2019 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World as Galaxy’s Edge, the massive 14-acre Star Wars section of the Disney’s parks becoming the largest single-themed land expansion ever and allows us all to be transported to that galaxy far, far away. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Within the foundation of Black Spire Outpost are a few very special beams, that reminds everyone what the real magic of this moment, is all about “We make magic,” the motto at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts and it permeates everything they do, just as it did a long time ago in a small Northern California community far, far away.
