Saw a post talking about how the Mecha Man legacy has been going on for NEARLY 50 years. Not 50 years, ALMOST 50.
Just to pick an easy number to divide by, let's say Mecha Man has been active for 48 years. By now, we're at our third pilot. that means that on average, the mecha men take up the mantle for around 16 years before dying. It's already crazy to think that the first two never actually got to just, naturally pass away
Can you imagine being Robert, now 15 years into this, wondering if he's going to die soon? That it's only a matter of time before his luck runs out and his attempts to hunt down Shroud get him killed? A broken clock is right twice a day, so maybe it's almost his turn.
When the suit exploded and he fell from the sky, was there a part of him still conscious enough to think about all of that? A part of him confirms that he's basically fulfilling the family legacy while being the next victim of some fucked up curse on them too
