Prologue

Dispatch has revealed that Korean actor Gong Yoo has been in a relationship with writer y/n for about a year and that the two are engaged. He's a man known for breathing life into all his characters and keeping his personal life private. The news came as a shock to his fanbase not because he's engaged but because said woman was a black woman. Adding salt to injury the woman was significantly younger than him. K-netizens reactions ranged from absolute disbelief to calling said revelation a farce or publicity stunt for some American project he's probably participating in.

He's agency's silence on the matter only deepened the curiosity of the public. A relationship reveal that was expected to capture the interests of the public for a few days lasted a month. The pair had become the talk of the town. With one discourse after another.

SCENARIO ONE: REACTION TO DISPATCH REVEAL

To say that you were shocked was an understatement. You had done everything right. Private dates in restaurants owned by one of your friends, dinner dates indoors, car dates, picnics in the backyard, you name it. To distract yourself you headed for the kitchen to prepare tonight's dinner even though it was before noon. You cleaned already cleaned areas in a desperate attempt to keep your mind busy. You put up a good battle but the war was lost. You eventually succumbed to the desire to know the reaction of the public. Upon logging onto your social media, your notifications lit up like Chinese fireworks. This wasn't your focus. You wanted to know how his fans felt about the revelation.

Your heart broke a little. This is why he was worried. Well at least no one is throwing the word traitor or demanding an apology. You logged off and vowed not to login again until the storm had cleared. To seal the treaty you turned off your phone. You passed the time by preoccupying yourself with work. The hours flew by as you were anticipating your fiancé’s return. To your surprise he arrived home earlier than expected. You got up from the couch to meet him at the door. Before you could even say a word, he grabbed you and pulled you into an embrace.

"I missed you too" you said as his upper body gently enwrapped your torso. He pulled back from the embrace, took your hand and led you to the living room and sat you down beside him. With both hands comforting yours and your eyes facing his, he asked. "Are you okay?" "Are you?" "You're all that matters to me right now. I just want to make sure you're okay". "I told you I'm fine" He pulls you in closer. "I'm really sorry about today. I hope this won't make you not want to live in Korea with me". "I don't scare that easily" He smiles. "I love you. I want to be with you. Be a good husband, a good father and nothing will change that. I love you for who you are and who you are not" "I know" you said leaning in to place your hands on the back of his neck. "Nothing is coming between us"
