ooh! well it’s a great place - just visited a friend who’s studying at UT there last week - it’s wonderful and i hope you guys enjoy it!
I'm really excited! Everything I've read and heard makes it out to be a great place.

are you living/studying in austin now???
Not yet - we just decided (like last week) that we're going to move there after I graduate next year.

It certainly sounds like sleep paralysis to me. One time I felt like my house was in flames, but I couldn't move to get to the fire extinguisher. Another time I heard a really good friend getting beaten up outside, but I couldn't get to her. Etc.

This sounds exactly like the sleep paralysis I've experienced. I dream that I'm paralysed and desperately trying to move/scream. Either I slowly awaken, not able to move until fully awake (which is really freaky), or I suddenly wake up screaming
Yikes! I mean, I'm glad for the confirmation that that's probably what it was, but that all sounds terrifying. I'm really hoping this was just a one-time thing for me.

Ohh you have lots of shows on your list. Stargate SG1 for one!
theerinpala replied to your post:
summer time is when I rewatch all my favorite shows, or give shows that I haven't watched yet a chance
Oh, I'm already in the middle of two older shows (Ally McBeal and Stargate SG-1), with several others on my list to tackle after them. I just always feel kind of weird when there's nothing currently putting out new episodes each week for me to watch. Like, I follow thirteen current shows and none of them has anything new for me? It's especially disconcerting that none of the shows has a solid return date, so I don't even have an exact time to look forward to.
this trying to find an English-language summer internship in Paris thing is killing me
life would be a lot easier if:
a) I were studying in the US and/or American, so I don't have to deal with a work visa;
b) I were a European citizen, so I can work in the UK and not have to deal with a visa.
ALL THE PROBLEMS HAVE TO DO WITH VISAS this is so damn annoying
maybe i should just try to find an internship back in Singapore after all
and then do my 6 month end of Master's mandatory internship in the US/UK because 6 months is worth the trouble of a J-1/Tier 5 visa, 3 months isn't
ALSO
I have no money to relocate somewhere else, pay for rent there, and still pay for my Paris apartment, on top of all this visa nonsense. I know the roommate is staying in Paris for sure and the problem with the roommate is that she will never accept me subletting my room to someone else.
sigh

Noooo! When will it be back?
January 30th -- so only a "hiatus" of two weeks off the air, luckily.
