"Red Oaks, Ice Storm," 2008, from my Disturbed Paradise Series. Since I began working on my "Fifty Acres" project, eleven years ago, I've seen a lot of extreme swings in our Hudson Valley winters. From the 2007 blizzard, to the ice storm in December, 2008, and the freak snow storm in October, 2011... and the year we were introduced to the polar vortex, followed by the last 2 winters with almost no snow and very mild temperatures. #paullange #fiftyacresproject #disturbedparadise #hudsonvalley #winter
