Gloria normally didn’t have trouble sleeping. Once her head hit her pillow she was out like a light. Although that had to do with how exhausted she was most days. But tonight she tossed and turned in her bed and she just couldn’t seem to fall asleep. Letting out a frustrated groan, she got out of bed, threw on her robe and headed downstairs to the hotel bar to fix herself a little nightcap. 

It was well into the night and she figured no one else would be around to bother her. Or so she thought.

Her brows rose slightly when she laid eyes on a familiar hunched over form. “Husk?” She called as she approached the bar counter. “It’s 3 am in the morning. What are you still doing up?”

A low hum, chin resting in her hands. “... Yeah. S’hard ta’ find things like that, ya’ know?” Molly would go on and admit.

“But ... S’just means you gotta find new stuff, ya’ know? Anythin’ ta’ just keep it up...” A small shrug of her shoulder, letting a finger run along the ring of her emptied glass.

“I ain’t have tha’ ansa’, eitha’, otha’wise I’d tell you. ‘Cept drugs. That helps me.” She smiled, like she was joking, but ... It was the truth.

 Another long day of renovations and (seemingly meaningless) advertising had thoroughly drained the princess. A tired sigh escaped painted lips as Charlie pressed her cheek against the cool countertop of the bar. For a moment she basked in the silence, relieved to be away from the constant chaos that constantly filled the halls of her hotel.

 Husk’s presence could have gone completely undetected if the cat-like demon hadn’t been right in front of her, cleaning glassware and dusting off beer taps. Slowly the blonde sat up, noting how he had yet to acknowledge her. That was just like Husk, wasn’t it? The guy seemed to prefer keeping to himself and staying out of trouble.  And though the princess didn’t like to admit it, she had a knack for being the cause of trouble.

 A hand came to rest on her cheek, keeping her head lazily upright. If he wasn’t going to talk, the princess had no problem filling the silent air. “I don’t really like alcohol.” She voiced suddenly, if only to make conversation. Lips twitched upward as a nervous giggle escaped her lips. Despite Charlie’s initiative, she was a bit weary talking to the stoic and often grumpy demon.

 “Not that I think it’s disgusting! Just haven’t found anything I really like.”
