2014 Characters of Color: Where They Stand

The numbers... they’re kind of bleak. Some things aren’t surprising but still have the ability to be disappointing and this is one of those things. Especially when YA literature has the ability to reach such a wide range of people, young adults and not so young adults as well, it’s so important to have representation of all races. No one wants to feel invisible, nor should anyone feel as if they actually are.
