Tracee Ellis Ross: Her Impact on Black Women in Entertainment

Trace Ellis is a famous actress and has spent her career in the shows as a comedian and host. She’s herself a strong woman with the persona to stay active and follow the latest trends that are being followed in the industry. The most exciting news for her fans is that she’s expected to host the American Music Awards simultaneously because of her confident personality. The audience is quite familiar to her as to how she pulls off an award show as it’s not a new thing for her to host an award show as she’s been doing it previously. Getting real fucking tired of people thinking that POC are defined as only black folks.

Honestly, as an Indian woman I'm sick of the pigeonholed scope of racial diversity in media. I want to see more Southwest Asians(Indians, Afghans,etc.), non-stereotypical East Asians(Laotians, Cambodians,etc.), Latinx people, indigenous people(Native American, Aboriginal, Amazonian, etc.), and native Africans(Chadians, Zimbabweans,etc.). I know we've made alot of progress in the past couple of decades but we still have a long way to go. Every time I notice a "breakthrough" in diversity in media it's always the same racial groups. Diversity isn't black and white. It's a whole world of people. It's hundreds of cultures.
