"All Your Needs"

Worried that your needs are too big for God's provision or too small for His attention?

God doesn't just meet some of your needs - He promises to meet ALL of them according to His unlimited riches.

Philippians 4:19 declares: "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus."

ALL your needs - not just the spiritual ones, not just the big ones, but every single need you have. ACCORDING TO His riches - not according to your bank account, your connections, or your circumstances. IN CHRIST JESUS - through the One who owns everything and lacks nothing.

That financial pressure you're facing? He will meet that need. That emotional support you're craving? He will provide it. That wisdom you desperately need for a decision? He has it ready for you.

God's supply isn't limited by earthly resources. His riches in glory are infinite, inexhaustible, and specifically available for meeting your needs.

You're not bothering God when you bring Him your needs. You're giving Him opportunities to display His abundant provision.

That need you're hesitant to pray about because it seems too small? He cares about it. That need you're afraid to mention because it seems too big? He's more than able.

Today, trust that your God will meet ALL your needs according to His glorious riches.

Divine Provision

"Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall He not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?" - Matthew 6:30

Clothes are expensive, and poor believers may be led into anxiety as to where their next suit will come from. The soles are thin; how shall we get new shoes? See how our thoughtful LORD has provided against this care. Our heavenly Father clothes the grass of the field with a splendor such as Solomon could not equal: will He not clothe His own children? We are sure He will. There may be many a patch and a darn, but raiment we shall have.

A poor minister found his clothes nearly threadbare, and so far gone that they would hardly hold together; but as a servant of the LORD he expected his Master to find him his livery. It so happened that the writer on a visit to a friend had the loan of the good man's pulpit, and it came into his mind to make a collection for him, and there was his suit. Many other cases we have seen in which those who had served the LORD have found Him considerate of their wardrobe. He who made man so that when he had sinned he needed garments, also in mercy supplied him with them; and those which the LORD gave to our first parents were far better than those they made for themselves.

The lesson I’ve learned repeatedly over the last four months of being unemployed, is that the Divine will meet my needs, but only if I allow the space and time for Him to act. Lent 2025 He surprised me by telling me to make room in my life for the things I longed for and it was a slow, hard, painful chipping away for nearly 9 months until Christmas time when I laughed and realized that 9 months is exactly how long it takes for New Life to arrive. Then last Feb a lot of security was stripped away as I lost my day job and it felt like things continued to be stripped. The removal comes after I had already made so much room and it reminds me of Eustace in Voyage of The Dawn Treader trying to slough his dragon skin off, and still requiring Aslan’s help. I’ve learned to slow down, to slow waaaaay the fuck down, as often it’s my impatience, insecurity, and desire to provide for my own needs that cause me to rush things or to become frustrated. And this generosity of the Divine towards me has in turn made me more readily able to give, even when I don’t have a lot, or to be less embarrassed asking for help, to be more honest, and more needy essentially, because I trust that my daily bread is going to be provided, I just have to stand in the gap with my hands outstretched a lot longer than I am naturally comfortable with. It’s been a good, painful, growing process and I’m so grateful for it. Unexpected and long-suffering but not un-desired.
