a popular business man he was ... but .. kenzo enjoyed the peace and quiet ... and with a solemn puff , he smiled . subtly so ... but he did . " i had a good time . " he muttered . he couldn't remember the last time he enjoyed a woman's company without the demanding feed of money and booze . poker chips and hotel rooms . meetings , meetings , and more meetings . his uttered words were staggering for kenzo . the only feelings he ever seemed to express were cold ... angry ... serious .

but for their fun little get out , he was able to calmly plan everything . no incessant phone calls , buzzing vibrations of panicked texts .... just a kind woman who to wanted to get away from it all for a while . or at least , willing to tag alongside him as he did just that .

he had hoped his new assistant would be of good character . too many had missed the mark . too many had shown their wicked intentions .... but maybe she would prove different to him ...

HE SMELLS HER BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE. It's a unique smell that encases his senses. Light, airy, the top notes of floral and of the Scottish primrose. Earthy, the smell of the ground just after a fresh rain... of centuries old, even older than him. Matthew stays still for a while before he finally turns to greet her.

"I would be careful, @divineate" Matthew tells her lightly even as he goes to her to press the lightest of kisses against her cheek. "This area is not safe for you. If you needed me, you knew how to reach me." He steps back, surveying her, hands now behind his back. "I take it you did not travel this far to catch up on pleasantries?"
