It’s become impossible to deny the workings of powers far outside Cheren’s range of knowledge in this city. There are so few Pokémon, and so many more inexplicable events than he could use their presence to justify.

If he wants to thrive in this world, he needs to put his energy into learning more about the inhabitants it does have.

“So do you mean that... humans can use moves? Do you have battles directly against one another?” He can’t imagine it at all. Even humans who train in martial arts usually do so alongside like-minded Pokémon.
