Send me ‘✂’ and my muse will kill yours. Right now. Brutally, horribly, bloody. Just do it.
Honestly, what was taking Xaldin so long this time? This world held nothing they hadn’t seen before, nothing that hadn’t been captured again and again on other worlds.
Beastly men (more literal this time) in love with stupid women.
And oh, it was true that Belle wasn’t entirely stupid, that she had a mind with and intelligence but that only left Axel thinking her all the more a fool. The Beast was a monster and for more than his outer appearance.
What did she think she was doing, staying with a man who’d locked her up as surely as Xemnas had locked away the Organization, chaining them with promises and threats all in turn?
What did she think she was playing at, when in just the weeks he had watched he had seen the Beast shout at her and insult her, leave her fleeing to her room when she had to know a flimsy door wouldn’t hold back the Beast when he really came for her?
It was a pity he was here to do this - Axel could almost say he liked her.
But it was an easy problem, something that should have never given Xaldin a moment’s struggle.
Kill the girl and watch the Beast become the monster his temper threatened to transform him into.
It wouldn’t have been a problem - really, it wouldn’t have - but Xaldin had returned late, and then he had not returned at all, and Roxas had had to be sent to retrieve him.
Roxas, who would never have been strong enough to fight the Whirlwind Lancer should he have decided he didn’t want to leave.
That was when Axel had decided, enough was enough. If what kept interest on that world so high was the lovefest between Beast and the Princess, then he’d just nip it in the bud. Kill the Princess, and let grief turn her lover into a Heartless, mark the world off for good and have a nap before anyone even realized what he’d done.
The question was, how to do it?
If he dealt with her in his signature style, everyone would know. Xaldin certainly would, and who knew if he’d be upset that his fun had been ended quickly? But end it too quickly, and he’d give the Beast something to latch on to rather than something to be defeated by.
It was in watching his assassins play that he finally stumbled upon an answer.
Animals. Savage little things, and they surrounded the Beast’s Castle. If he could lure Belle into the woods, he could kill her and leave her body for the wolves to devour. Let the big bad killers in the forest be blamed.
Method and means decided, it was simple to lure all parties in. The wolves, he taunted with meat and blood. The chance at an easy meal was more than enough to rouse their attention, and the creatures were eager to follow after him in search of more scraps, their yearling cubs mewling with hunger.
Winter was coming, and food was scarce. He was about to offer them a snack to tide them over.
Belle was more of a challenge, but her curiosity was her downfall, and unlike the proverbial cat satisfaction would not be enough to bring her back.
The sound of fighting, a trail of minor destruction, the scent of burned wood - all of it hinted at his arrival, and he’d not disappointed her last he’d come to visit, letting her ask all number of questions just for this purpose - arousing her curiosity.
She came after him, and from his perch in the trees, waiting, he could almost see her questions building.
It really was a pity it came to this.
The wolves were some hundred yards out, snouts in the dirt as they followed the trail of the little morsels he’d hidden. A perfect distance for what came next -
He tipped a bucket of deer’s blood over, letting the still-warm fluid pour over Belle. She shrieked, dismay turning to full fledged horror as she realized what covered her, and the combination of noise and scent was enough to rally the wolves.
Axel teleported away, appearing several yards up in a taller tree to watch the action. Belle, sensing the danger she was in, was already struggling to flee, hands wiping at the blood that covered her eyes. The wolves, scenting prey, were racing towards her.
By the time she saw the true threat, they were but twenty feet away and closing in.
Axel teleported away when the sound of fangs tearing through flesh became the sound of flesh and bone tearing free of one another, the sight of Belle’s arm ripped fully from her torso a bit too much for even him to stomach.
