CotL DoS2 Crossover

Usually I am not the biggest fan of crossover stories, but after replaying CotL and Divinity again, I noticed a small but fun interaction between the two magic systems.

As vague as CotL's powers are, it is clear that they come, at least for the Lamb, from the crown, which in turn gets power from people's faith in it. Which is also why you die when you lose your last follower. Which for me gives the impression that the magic in CotL is given. People give their faith to the Crown, the crown gives magic to you. Sure, we have seen other examples of magic, mostly the birds, but I am mostly speaking of the Lamb.

In DoS2 (maybe slight spoilers if you do not know anything about the game but want to play it), magic is the oposite. Everyone has magic in their soul and can freely use it with either some learning or a scroll. The truly powerful people, the sourcerers can then take the magic/life from others or nature itself and use it to empower themselves to use the height of magic.

So, one system is based around giving magic to others to empower them. While the other's peak is taking magic from others to empower yourself (yes, I know they can also power others, that is shown in the game too).

So yeah... it got my interest... got a chapter written already, mostly some backstory for the lamb. Will see how I feel about working with ocs and if it goes somewhere. These days creative motivation hasn't been the best.
