Welcome to DIWS’ Great Bunny Round-Up!

An event where we’re rounding up all them plot bunnies before May 13th!

This event will let you release some of them bunnies back to the wilds where they can be scooped up, while also supportin’ you in finishing the WIPs you wanna get done. Here’s how it works:

Got Bunnies You Need to Release? Have an idea you know you’ll do nothing with? A little plot bunny for a piece of art, a story, an animatic, or more? It’s time to say goodbye and let it go! Bunny submissions are open now for you to send those fluffy rascals off to a good home with someone who can complete them!

Got Bunnies You Need to Wrangle? Maybe your own farm is already full of bunnies you’re hoping to finish yourself before May 13th. Don’t you worry! You can sign up for the event to wrangle your own bunnies! Signups for the event will officially open on March 8th. So make sure you signup so you can get important pings and updates!

Want to Adopt a Bunny? Maybe your WIP folder is pretty well managed, or you need some fresh inspiration to help reconnect you with your current WIPs. Once we've got all the bunnies wrangled, you'll be able to adopt (claim) bunnies on March 8th. While this will not be a first come first serve event, the adoption form closes fast, as we don't have much time before May 13th. Don't worry if you miss the first pass though! Unadopted bunnies will still be up for adoption after the first wave. This means you can also sign up to adopt another bunny at any time!

in your info page about the bunny event, it says that you're not sharing the bunny list outside of discord for the duration of the event but will you post the plot bunnies to tumblr or to an ao3 prompt collection once the event is over, so that those of us not on discord can participate? (I'm no longer on discord due to their rampant identity/data breaches and I'm not looking to reactivate my account, but I'd still like to be able to participate in something like this)

Thanks for writing in! We completely understand why many folks have left Discord or feel uncomfortable with it right now.

That said our community is based on Discord, and we have no immediate plans to change that. Our rule of having to be a member of our Discord to participate in our events is meant to protect all of our participants.

In this case a lot of the bunnies being put up for adoption come with extra "toys"; half finished sketches, snippets and scenes, and more. Folks aren't just sharing a plot idea, they are sharing unfinished works with the hopes that someone can do something more with them. That's a really vulnerable thing to do and something we want to honor by keeping some control over where these bunnies go. We also have strict rules on how folks can incorporate these sketches and snippets to protect both the original bunny owner, and its new furever home adopter.

If you're looking to wrangle your own bunnies, the achievement slide tracker, the writing tracker, and the achievement doc are all available in the event info for you to use! We hope you will!

But the bunnies and the planned sprinting and hype activities will remain in Discord.

Completed works will be posted in an AO3 collection.

I have a whole long-running thread where I occasionally post plot bunnies that pop into my head but have no plans to use. Am I allowed to submit some of those bunnies to this event? If I can, should I remove their posts? Make a note that they were submitted to this event? Just leave them be?

Hello! Happily enough, our event is designed to make sure as many bunnies as possible get love and attention, regardless of their posting status (or how much content has already been created, though mostly-complete works don’t really count as “bunnies” anymore). We also aren’t requiring anyone who donates bunnies to be completely anonymous! If you’ve already posted your bunnies somewhere, that’s fine, and you don’t need to take the posts down or make any edits to them. However, we do not allow original creators to purposefully seek out the creator assigned to their bunny, or to try to influence the direction a bunny goes once it’s been adopted by someone else. In essence, cheering from the sidelines and casual interaction between original creators and bunny adopters is fine, but “I’m the person who invented that idea, and I think you should do X” is not. In the submission form, we’ve included the option to require a brief credit to the creator of the original idea/sketch/drabble, but these credits will be anonymous if they are included. For the bunny event, could you submit bunnies where you've already published a first chapter on AO3, if you orphan the story first?

Hello! Thanks so much for asking.

In this case, to preserve the spirit of the event while also allowing for a “more cakes” philosophy, we would recommend that you submit the plot bunny’s concept instead of orphaning and submitting the entire written work you have so far. That would mean that you can still keep your own words (and potentially continue your own already-posted fic at some point), but that another person would have the opportunity to make the plot bunny their own!

We put out the call two weeks ago to our Discord Server, asking our members to fill the shelves of the shop. Not only did our members come through, they ensured we now have a few stacks of records as well because we ran out of space on the shelves!

Now we have 272 songs ready to spark inspiration. This is a Good Omens event that celebrates MUSIC. We invite you to join us getting excited over songs and mixing their vibes to create something completely new. Each participant will claim at least 11 songs and will be assigned 2 to take as inspiration. You can combine them, use only one, go with vibes, whatever you'd like to create a new Good Omens fanwork!
