A few drables from my Genshin apocalypse au. Keep in mind that the farthest I got into the au is still in Mondstadt. None of the Liyue or Inazuma characters will appear yet.
School
Even though there are threats no farther than a few kilometres away from the city walls, the children of Mondstadt have to be kept entertained. That’s why they have started hosting a school program in the library of the knights headquarters. Along with Klee and Diona, all the kids join in. Lumine helps as an assistant teacher from time to time. It’s quite interesting to see what they do in a day. The day started with Jean doing a rolecall around the class to see who showed up today. It were Klee, Diona, Nora, Arthur, Pepe and Sage today. The first class was an elemental class with Sucrose. Although most people weren’t visionholders, elements were still dangerous and should be treated with caution. Today, they were talking about hydro. ““Although w-water is very f-fun, you should b-be careful around it. St-tay away from py-pyro, elec-cro and cry-yo after play-ing in water.” The second class was P.E with Bennett. They went up to the cathedral’s square and ran two circles around the statue and then played tag. “Hup Arthur, you can do it! Wow, Pepe, you’re so fast! All of you would make amazing adventurers!” The last lesson was economy with Noelle. They talked about money and saving up. They even played a game of shop to show how it worked. Everyone went home with a nice lunch of chicken-mushroom skewers or Mondstadt hashbrowns ‘‘bought’ with their own marbles they used for play pretend. Lumine only had to walk around the class while they were doing worksheets and answer questions like: ‘what’s the name of the reaction with pyro again?’ Or ‘How much Mora do you need for a tomato?’ It was a simple job, but it paid well and was fun. If she plans it well, she can stay the whole schoolday to help around.
Poetry
Lumine and Paimon were found behind the ruins of the houses on the second layer, where there was a patch of grass. Lumine was listening to Fischl and Eula making poetry about mundane things for fun while Paimon had fallen asleep in the grass. Currently, they were spinning dramatic sentences about grass. “Even when the spirits of a thousand winds break through the greenery’s peaks, the humble blades of dendro keep flowing through the cursed realm of its geo prison.” “As the hydro waves roll through the endless oceans and the anemo waves flow through the safety of the air, the dendro waves are trapped in the constant torture of the mortal lands.”
Storms
Today, everyone was ushered in the only standing buildings, since one of the terrible storms that plague this land have rolled by. Lumine herself was sitting in the tavern, next to Venti. Paimon was playing a game of hilichurl with the two kids while Diona was supposed to be working. Diluc had taken over her job, as well as serving the bar. “Y’know, the winds never were this harsh.” A voice quipped from beside her. “Really?” She asked. It seemed impossible for them to be anything other than the murderous pull they are today. “Yes, they used to be very gentle. Everyone would bask in the cool breeze during summer and be thankful for the slightly warmer wind during the winter. The windwheel asters used to bloom here too. Now, thanks to the rough storms, they have all been pulled out. The only ones I’ve seen in a long time are the ones that Flora keeps in the cathedral.” “Are you … sad about the change?” Venti sighed, “Honestly, kind of. The winds were perfect, the image of safety and freedom. Not overbearing but still calmly there to help out. Now, they have turned into one of the methods of imprisonment the abyss is using against us.” Lumine didn’t know what to say, she just hugged him. They stayed quiet for the remainder, only softly interrupted thanks to Venti humming a soft tune.
