Thinking real hard about fully committing myself into making my own religion. With my own gods, rituals, scripture. I wonder who else has done this?
I have already developed my own personal god, was mainly thinking about expanding that into a fully fleshed religion. Should I? How could I like give it power?
I'm interested if anyone else has done this or knows of resources about this :3
in an effort to make my magical practice my own, I went back to absolute basics. Colour magic is one of the first things we usually learn as beginners to set the foundation for the rest of our practices.
But, as colour is extremely important in the symbolism of my religion, it felt weird using other peoples correspondences that have nothing to do with my spirits. I've started with the main 8 colours (next group will be PInk, Brown, Black,White). I drew two cards for nuance.
I encourage anyone who is feeling disconnected from their practice to try something like this: take a basic concept or tool and pull cards to determine what it means for you! Crystals and herbs I believe will be next.
Che- Willpower

Kvemkh - Self
Shad - Reality

Che/Chem
Two of Disks
Change, intentional willful transformation, eternal change, not good nor bad just different, making the best of the choices given/ being disappointed n what you changed into, feeling led astray, hasty choices
R The Fool
Bleeding fool, running out and being hurt over and over. Continue same choices despite seeing the same result, self destructive and hungry
Nuance: Red represents willpower. It is not good or bad it just does and the goal is the make the best of what happens. However, if you do not learn from your mistakes, you will be making the same mistakes and never satisfied.
Chekvem/Bal
The Hawkmoth
Preparing for next step despite uncertainty, change from uncertainty to hope for a future.destiny is where you end up not all is predetermined,
6 of Cups
Innocent joy, pure bliss and nostalgia, innocence does not equal youth or ignorance
Nuance: Orange represents thought. The ability to plan and hope for the future as well as learn from the past. Unwillingness to use your thoughts leads to ignorance.
Kvemkh/Euf
8 Pentacles
Self Care, finding ambition and nurturing it, taking care of yourself, your needs first, confidence
Devil with Snakes for Dicks
Comfort in your life, in your body, confidence that could turn to cruelty, elitism
Nuance: Yellow represents the self. In it's purest form it is self love and ambition, in it's dark form it is elitism and cruelty. You are only above others because you stomp them down.
Shad/Nis
Page of Curses(the cards from niseags deck pg194)
Looking for misery and finding it, noticing when good things come around aka gratitude, sadness giving more weight than joy
Joker
Wildcard and bridge between other cards
Nuance: Green represents reality and transitions. What you give your attention to will determine your perception. there is always a next step.
Lugay/Chel
The High Priestess p214
Learning cause and effect on a large scale, weird truths, self actualization, understanding large systems and your role in them, realizing you don’t want thing you chased all your life you want to be it/destroy it
Wound Man Reversed
Hurt without intention or purpose, sometimes life is just surviving what happens to you, pain without catharsis
Nuance: Cyan represents the thriving versus surviving. on one side you know your role in the world and or you finally get the answer you were looking for. Sometimes you chase something your whole life only to learn you hated it. It's up to us to embrace the truth or suffer when we hide from it.
Uqnum/N’go
Reverse Page of Curses (also niseag)
Ill omen, a curse because you will always be looking for a curse, lack of follow through, low ambition
Nuance: Azure is justice and all the good and bad that comes with it. The wrongdoers are punished and the righteous succeed, or so it's supposed to be. Justice does not equal fairness.
Nnum/Teo
Reverse Lightning in a Bottle
Leaving something when you outgrow it, things growing bigger than you can handle, lightning striking too close to home and leaping to safety
The High Priestess p214
Learning cause and effect on a large scale, weird truths, self actualization, understanding large systems and your role in them, realizing you don’t want thing you chased all your life you want to be it/destroy it
Nuance: Indigo is applying your higher knowledge to situations and knowing when to move on. Situations no longer serving you and leaving them behind. abandoning the sunk cost fallacy
Ih/Toh
3 of Pentacles
Working together, everyone brings something important to the table, no contribution too small
Reverse The Allbright
Absence of hope, a sign to step up and be the hope for others or yourself, for those who are faithful they are always there but if you lose faith or doubt they leave
Nuance: Violet is hope and acceptance. Recognition that no contribution is too small. being the hope for others and yourself. accepting blessings but scorning when they aren't happening
little more work on the diy deity guide (literally forgot which account had the document oops)
I'm curious about other people's interactions with spirits! Has a spirit ever defined itself or given a label? Most of the spirits I contact are pretty loose or generally uninterested with labels lol
Danéh is my main deity, he is the god of being myself. As such I've seen four aspects of him that I decided to represent through these moodboards. May these be digital offerings for them 🌸
1. Danéh the Disarmer
Wisdom, Mental peace, Health, Philosophy, Work and Ruling are their domains.
2. Danéh the Dark One
Rest, Sleep, Change and Death are their domains.
3. Danéh the Liberator
Freedom in all areas, Independence, Love, Merry, Emotions, Sexuality and Joy are their domains.
4. Danéh the Comrade
Strength, Fighting for what's right, Compassion, Justice, Athleticism and Nature are their domains.
I have drawn each of the aspects before, so here's them all together
CW: Blood
In order from left to right, top to bottom
1. Danéh the Disarmer
2. Danéh the Dark One
3. Danéh the Liberator
4. Danéh the Comrade
also, fun fact! I had also made names for each aspect: the Disarmer is Mané, the Dark One is Fós, the Liberator is Niél and the Comrade is Éda. Though I haven't used them because I felt like it divided Danéh too much to have names for each aspect of him
