DIY tea tree + lemon scrub/mask 🍋🌿
Ah, two of my favorite ingredients - tea tree and lemon. These guys do wonders for my acne prone skin. I know there’s some debate about putting lemon directly on the skin, but I haven’t ever had any problems and its not like you’re literally dripping the lemon onto your skin lol. So tea tree is really great for treating blemishes and lemon is great for brightening the skin and evening skin tone. I didn’t think it was necessary to show you guys step-by-step how I made this because like any diy I’ll ever show you guys, its pretty straightforward and totally customizable. If you don’t have tea tree oil, use another favorite oil or add in an serum - any wet ingredient that you want should work - honey’s great too. I chose these ingredients again because I find they work AMAZING for my skin and show results right after use and especially with continuous use. All you gotta do is get some sugar (your exfoliator), put in your wet ingredients, and mix mix mix. I got this really minimalist tin container from a bead store I live by, it was like 80 cents. I’m sure you could find something similar in any craft or container aisle, or you don’t have to be unnecessarily fancy like me and can just use any old container you have at home. This is also a great, effortless gift for anyone and it looks so nice in a simple container with a handwritten label. I like to use this as a mask to allow the ingredients to absorb more into my skin. I’ll scrub this in with some water on already cleansed skin and let it sit for as long as I feel like, usually about 10 minutes. But on days you don’t have that extra time, its just as great to use this as a basic scrub. And that’s it! You’re on your way to glowy, clear skin!

DIY Coffee Scrub
Simple, vegan, and cheap. This three ingredient coffee scrub is one of my favorite facial scrubs to make at home.
All you need are:
1/2 cup of used coffee grounds
1/2 cup of melted coconut oil
1/2 cup of any kind of sugar
Instructions:
Pour all of the ingredients into a container
Then mix them all together until everything is mixed completely and your scrub it a black silky consistency
Cover your container and put with the rest of your showering or face washing items.
How to use:
Get your face wet
Re-mix/shake up you scrub
Use on your face (and really anywhere else) and let sit as long as you feel necessary
Wash off
Feel your luscious face
Helpful hints:
Let the used coffee grounds dry before mixing the ingredients
Combine the sugar and coffee first then slowly stir in the coconut oil
You can refrigerate you scrub to make it thicker, but it may separate and be harder to mix. That being said, you can always let it sit for a couple minutes, and you will be able to mix it up again, and it will still be thicker.
Easy honey & lime face/body scrub
Hello there! So its really important to periodically exfoliate your skin so that you can scrub away impurities and dead skin cells and promote smooth, fresh skin. I make this simple facial scrub recipe all the time and its foolproof. All you really need is sugar and some wet ingredient, here I used honey and lime but its really up to you what you put in your scrub. I’ve used lemon, blended blueberries, blended strawberries, added tea tree oil, and a bunch of other fresh ingredients good for the skin. In this particular scrub the lime is brightening (good for those with dark spots or pigmentation problems) and has anti-aging properties while the honey is moisturizing and antibacterial (helps treat and prevent acne), and the sugar acts as an external exfoliator. This scrub is also a great gift idea, in the past I’ve packaged it into small containers, labeled it, and gave them as gifts to friends and family. This is great for those who are like me and want to try out different exfoliators and ingredients but don’t necessarily want to go out and buy a bunch of different products all the time. Either way, good luck on your journey to healthy, clear skin!

Sugar scrub is the best natural way to exfoliate and gain glowing, healthy looking skin. See below for more
Sugar is a natural humectant, which really just means it draws moisture into your skin. Sugar is also a natural source of glycolic acid, which is the agent that encourages new skin to grow and what is often used to treat sun-damaged skin. Another benefit is the exfoliant properties of…

Today I wanted to share how to make 5 ingredient lip scrub at home. Combat those dry lips!
Today I wanted to share how to make 5 ingredient lip scrub at home. The air is getting colder and drier. I don’t know about you, but winter is starting to take a toll on my lips! They get dry, chapped, and flaky if I am not vigilant with a lip scrub this time of the year. I have purchased sugar scrubs in the past, but at $8 a pop (for a little teeny tin!) at the bath specialty store, I set out to…

Sweet Pomegranate Hand Scrub With Vitamin E (with free printable label)
It occurred to me this morning that I’ve never shared one of my favorite DIY’s. It’s crazy, because I use my Sweet Pomegranate Hand Scrub with Vitamin E every single day. I just never thought to share it with ya’ll! I don’t have a dishwasher in my kitchen. This, of course, means that I am the dish washer. With dish washing, DIY projects, painting projects, and gardening, my hands are in water a…
