The Stonewall Columbus Pride Parade would be normally going on right now, in its three and a half hour glory, from start to finish.  However, that has been postponed (for now), and in light of that, here are highlights from the Pride Parade TWO years ago.

DJBC Tumblr Summer Flashback - Highlights from Last Year’s Stonewall Columbus Pride Parade (2019)

The Stonewall Columbus Pride Parade in its four hour glory would have been yesterday.  Let’s hope that the curve is flattened and that it’s still on for October 3rd.  If not, here are highlights from last year’s parade, which saw an altered route, as floats and vehicles stayed on High Street, and marchers turned on Rich towards Bicentennial Park.

This was a recreation of the Body and Blood of Christ that I made during lockdown exactly two years ago on Easter Sunday, when Easter services were cancelled due to COVID-19 lockdowns. And since tonight is Holy Thursday and the beginning of what the Church calls their "Super Bowl", here are 10 different "Body and Blood of Christ" pictures.

National Library Week 22 - Library Under Quarantine

When the Libraries were forced to close their doors, we had to keep ourselves entertained from home in the Spring of 2020. Here are a few highlights, as part of National Library Week.

DJBC Tumblr Summer 21 - Merion Village & Southern Orchards Garden Tours 2020 (Throwback)

We were going to go to this year's Merion Village and Southern Orchards Garden Tours last Sunday. However, the downpour of rain last Sunday prevented that from happening. However, in place of this year's Tour, we are showing highlights from both of last year's Merion Village and Southern Orchards Garden Tours (which were held on separate weeks last year), which were two of the very few in-person events we attended last Summer, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Last year's Tours were done socially distant, and this year's Merion Village Tour, like last year's Tour was Hybrid, with Virtual stops on their Website.

The End of an Era - RIP to the State of Ohio COVID Health Orders

Today marks the end of an era. An era marked by separation, physical distancing, masks, loss, more social distancing, more loss, anxiety, uncertainty, and hope that one day that this would end, so we can get back to our normal lives.

Back in March 2020, when our lives were hijacked by the silent serial murderer known as COVID-19, people lost jobs, their livelihoods, and others lost their lives due to this pandemic. There was no accountability or leadership from the highest office in Washington. None. Since January 20 of this year, we saw hope. Hope that this would end. But it would take all of us for that to make that happen. With vaccinations rolling out, and people getting vaccinated. This was our gateway back to returning to normal.

With the Statewide Health Orders in the State of Ohio now over, it is now a brave new world. While some cities, such as Columbus still have health orders related to the pandemic, Franklin County dropped theirs in conjunction with the State of Ohio.

For those who are not vaccinated, it's on you. The more we are vaccinated, the sooner that we can fully get back to normal.

DJBC Tumblr Fall Flashback - 4th Friday in Uptown Westerville (May 2018)

Fourth Friday in Uptown Westerville was canceled this year, due to the Coronavirus. Here are highlights from the May 2018 Fourth Friday, which is a perfect pairing with Field of Heroes, just around the corner during the May Fourth Fridays.  And if Homecoming Weekend at Otterbein falls on the Fourth Friday in September, you got another perfect pairing too.

DJBC Tumblr Summer Flashback - Canal Winchester Labor Day (2019)

Labor Day Festivals were canceled, left and right, due to COVID-19. The Canal Winchester Labor Day was the first Central Ohio Labor Day Event to be canceled (way back in May).  Here are highlights from last year’s Labor Day Festival, which was the 100th in Canal Winchester.
