This cake! ♥ Made by Deanna Gardner.
My cake showed up on The Geek Strikes Back page and numerous friends tagged me in it (I had no idea it was there and the page had no idea it was mine - I should really put a watermark on my stuff.) So I imagine it’s in other places of the internet (Like this Cassandra I made 2 years ago) I figured I should probably address a couple of the most commonly asked questions:
1. “Why wouldn’t the TARDIS be made out of white or blue chocolate?”
Aesthetically speaking.. yes. It should. However, this was made for my best friend. She wanted to have a baby gender reveal cake (which was such an honour for her to ask me, as it meant I got to be the first to know what gender her baby is going to be. It’s a boy by the way). I chose milk chocolate because I know she doesn’t really like the taste of white/blue chocolate and I wanted her to have something to munch on later on.
2. Are you a professional? Nope. I make these cakes for fun. (Though if you live near me, and want to pay me to make a cake, I’d be more then happy to do so.)
3. How long did it take to make?
Approximately 2.5 hours all together. The cake itself was baked the night before the party, and then put together (layered and decorated) in a mad dash after work, put in the fridge for 20 minutes (to help set the icing better) and then driven to the party. Ideally I like more time to decorate but I literally had an hour and a half between getting home and when I needed to be at the party.
4. What did it taste like?
Rainbows, stardust, and vanilla.
If you have any other questions on the cake, feel free to contact me.
