Who would’ve thought we could create such awesome music using just buckets and cans? But we did it and it was absolutely fantastic!
Had an amazing Bucket Jam session with the incredible employees of Bajaj Markets :)

(drum circles) One of my favorite tracks for the groove we got in to. Lots more drum circle jam music at SoundCloud, various styles, tempos, and cultures. Available at iTunes spotify and Amazon
@dhunnthedrumcircle is an accumulation of all the love and support we got from beautiful people out there. Among all, one is @nikhil_chafale ,who was always there over just a text in need. A postive and supportive member who does everything which he can for us. Its immense pleasure to have you as our supportive system in our team. #dhunnthedrumcircle #dhunndrumcircle #drumcircle #knowourteam #djembes #contentcreator #drumcircleindia #keepdrumming #staysafe (at India) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-7NH_Mp7y7/?igshid=2ob7ypzgqvir
Introducing one more leading member of @dhunnthedrumcircle - @nilesh_3199 He’s is the back bone of our team, one who is always with @dineshdrumz while leading a successful Drum Jam. Looking after exact event and instruments from the start to an end! We are overwhelmed to have a facilitator like him who has stood up everytime with remarkable performance on and off stage as well! #dhunnthedrumcircle #dhunndrumcircle #drumcircle #knowourteam #djembes #contentcreator #drumcircleindia #keepdrumming #staysafe #knowourteam (at India) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-4fZuIJL3U/?igshid=16sp6luwpf5hf
@ajaykumar8320 has been there with @dhunnthedrumcircle from the beginning. From starting with 10 Djembes to having a whole room full of them, he has been there all along. @dineshdrumz gives awesome performances at all drum circles, and to convert them into words, is what Ajay does remarkably. He always asks us, "Tell me the reaction of the participants." And then he pens them down as amazing posts for us to share with you all. We are really happy to have him with us. Though far away in Hyderabad, but always close to Dhunn! #dhunnthedrumcircle #dhunndrumcircle #drumcircle #knowourteam #djembes #contentcreator (at India) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-zNj7Opdy4/?igshid=ccbm2s20pay8

#Arambol #sunset. Few things can beat Arambol at sunset. All the #hippies crawl out of the woodwork to bang #djembes, perform #PartnerYoga and to spin #poi and #firesticks. All the #sunloungers are put away, and briefly, we are all part of a #circus https://www.instagram.com/p/B6UomLEh-Cx/?igshid=1k5gehnlo9ph8
Days that include both the loudest, angriest shout of a single word I have EVER used on a class, and me failing to be a responsible adult and giggling at a swearword are a success, right? Right?
Grade 3/4 class is learning Djembe, and has finally (mostly) gotten the ‘playing different parts together’ thing down. So today’s learning goal was the Stop Drumming signal, given by me, and to avoid a really wimpy finish everyone was supposed to follow the signal with one really loud beat. So, y’know, we practice a few times and giggle over the random mistakes, and then we start really getting it! And then came the most perfect, synchronized, wonderful sound of 30 kids hitting their drums in the middle simultaneously and freezing completely still and silent to let the sound die away… followed about two seconds later by one solo drumbeat, and a very loud “Oh Dammit...” at which point the tiny humans all went into complete shock about the use of a bad word, and Miss S. failed to contain laughter, because it was just such an adorably disappointed curse.
Followed this afternoon by my terrifying an entire grade 1/2 class into completely freezing by shouting the word “NEVER!” louder and more abruptly than I’ve probably ever shouted anything at a child… because one of the monkeys had a woodblock held directly against his ear and was about to whack it with a much larger stick than he should have been using. *sigh* Children, we go over the rules at the beginning of the year, review them every time we begin using new instruments, AND they are posted on the classroom wall. Rule Number One is, has always been, and forever more shall be, we do not play instruments next to anyone’s ears. EVER. We have gone over the safety reasons for this. You share a school with the Deaf & Hard of Hearing program, and know what their struggles are. WHY? Of course, the entire class was completely unfazed five minutes later, and the kid in question and a friend had decided the woodblocks made good “telephones”, so… points for only being temporarily scary? Ugh, May.
