The #EiffelTower is such a #Parisian #tourist #cliche, it is easy to forget what a #magnificent awe-inspiring #structure it is, and incredible to think it was originally intended to be a temporary feature of an exhibition. Some of my favourite places from 20 or 30 years ago have been completely ruined. Back in the early 1990s I did a course in #shamanism, working with #journeying and #healing... and it opened something up in me, so that I would frequently have #OutOfTheBodyExperiences, #LucidDreams and #experiences of #AstralTravelling. I don't know if I saw the #GeorgeWylie #sculpture at the #FinniestoneCrane before I #painted this (circa 1992). If I did then this is #plagiarism. Mine has a #van rather than a #SteamEngine (made of #straw, if I remember rightly. Today I was in #Glasgow to get my #IndianVisa organised. I passed by what is left of #GlasgowSchoolOfArt, which burned down for the second time just recently. It had only just been rebuilt after the first #fire. It was a beautiful #building, #designed by #CharlesRennieMackintosh. I was totally gutted when it burned down. I went to #art classes there when I was a #teenager. Lots of my friends studied there. A #girlfriend studied there. My #mum studied there. When I was a #boy I lived right next door to it.
