*It took Adachi a couple of seconds to truly understand the meaning behind that encounter. He had repeated many times in his head how that meeting would have ended up, what were the right words to say, the expressions, the gestures...but now that his fantasies became reality, the former detective found himself unable to follow that mental plan he had worked on for so long. He stood there, frozen, his eyes wide opened, slightly shaking. Was it okay for him to talk? To wave his hand at him, to even meet his eyes? Even if Adachi knew it was better for the Dojima family if he just disappeared, another side of him wanted to try and see...and see if maybe that man still felt something, some affection for his old and deranged rookie. Collecting all the strength and willpower he had store, Adachi finally opened his mouth and let a word slip out of his lips.*
