Give me your heart (and I'll show you how to feel) by peredain (M, ongoing, 40k, some dom/sub themes, modern au) i will love modern aus until the end of time and this one has good plot, descriptions, and the feels. also i love that the yaksha group dynamics are fleshed out in this! they're so rare to find

fault lines by viverella (T, 23k, oneshot). scream. the tenderness and tension in this is so gentle. i fell to my knees bc these two old men. zhongli's voice is so nicely written :')

to carve nature at its joints (author commentary) and for services rendered by yelp (oneshots, 1k and 2k) the first is based on xiao's dream eating ability, and the second is about morax's inevitable erosion. the author has such an ability with words and their descriptions of xiao's loyalty, and zhongli's trust. i cherish greatly

bird in a cage by stormyseasons (gen, 33k, complete) i need to finish this but ohhhhhh it is insane,, the tenderness..... it traces xiao and zhongli's past through the archon war. also yaksha dynamics in this are so good

SUBJECT 2!! So many mysteries about him, I wish mhyverse gave more lore about him along with Albedo...

Favourite things: These are all very headcanon-ny but I enjoy how IF he ever were to be able to live in mond as his own person, he's likely going to be like a feral stray cat. He comes and goes like how Albedo comes and goes from Mond to Dragonspine, and will deny affection that is given; only to demand for it himself later 😤😤

Also the fact he very likely has trauma from being eaten alive by Durin ✌

What are some “humans are space orcs” ideas you’ve got with the LATGBG gang?

Also, what would the gang’s formal wear be like, to a fancy event or something?

• Humans are considered dangerous to more “civilized” alien species

• The fact that humans can throw things with a degree of accuracy is mind boggling but Very Cool (esp with the limits of gravity, because y’know— space.)

• Safety procedures, especially concerning astronauts, are all very confusing when you remember that aliens can breathe in space. (Minus when it comes to travel, of course).

• The attachment humans have towards inanimate objects is very strange— especially when it comes to apologizing or even talking to said objects as if they could respond (i.e. cussing out/apologizing to a chair for bumping into it)

As for formal wear, none of them understand what that means aside from Mika and Felicity. You’d basically have Davin wearing a flower crown and beaded necklace while Holden wears a ripped tie, and Siona… well, she put on her best skirt-pearl-necklace combo, so that surely counts, right?

May I ask what is “Welcome Home”? It seems to be some sort of psychological horror project about a lost media puppet show (?) but the website seemed to be “in-character” so it felt somewhat confusing…?

The Hala & Aries’ scene is really nice!! The dynamics, the character designs, the storyboards and voice acting— The Lumi team did a wonderful job on it✨💕

May I ask what characters (if any) inspired the two’s dynamic/personalities? If I can say, it feels similar to some sort of duo in Steven Universe but maybe the inspiration was something else?

As for character dynamics, it’s hard to say! I’d compare them to White Diamond and Pearl if I had to be specific, but also princess Celestia and Luna, in a weird sort of way? Where Elios would technically be Celestia too, but with Aries’ design and demeanor paralleling hers…

Anyway! That’s what I’d them down as if I had to give a comparison. It was actually quite difficult to write, but I’m glad the scene got the reaction I was hoping for!
