Okay, so something interesting about Kyle Crane in DL:TB… when he introduces himself to someone he likes well enough or is completely neutral on, he says he’s “Kyle”, but when he introduces himself to someone he does not like, he uses “Crane”. (For instance he introduces himself as “Crane” to Largo, the asshole water-guy that ends up being in league with the Baron)

“Crane” was how the GRE identified him, and back when he was still loyal to them, that was basically his entire identity. It’s been really nice seeing him embracing going by his first name in The Beast. (And it’s very funny when he decides not to give his first name to assholes)

so Jade was extremely important to Crane

i completely get that

but i reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally hope they don't just put Jade onto a pedestal and forget how much of an impact

Rahim, Brecken, Lena, hell even Rais all had on Crane

I mean shoot, the Beast is specifically about revenge and as someone who recently brute forced her way through that finale event from DL1 again let me remind you of a line from Rais that is just downright spooky in it's unintentional foreshadowing:

"Poor Crane, so consumed with emotion. Burning with the need for revenge...Eaten alive by hatred. Such feelings make you WEAK."

Please Techland. Jade is a stellar character, definitely meant a lot to Crane but when you do all the delightful trauma flashbacks please don't forget he also had to kill his very young friend, hold Brecken back from beating his fists into a bloody mess over the loss of more people and spent the last moments of his lucidity trying desperately to tell Lena he had found the cure to save his friends and all of Harran

Possible Dying Light: The Beast spoilers under the cut (Dad!Crane ramble)

The MOMENT I finished playing Dying Light 2 (and drew unholy amount of fanart), I started a small fic series about Crane surviving The Following, coming over to Villedor and basically adopting Aiden (and meeting Aiden's dumb boyfriend) because I am a sucker for found family.

They called me insane, they called me delusional, they called me crazy (nobody was calling me that but Dad!Crane was a delusion that kept me going) and now they ACTUALLY MEET

My delusions have been fed. I am working on a new fic for my fic Series as we speak.

The delusion is taking over again.

So uhhhh was this supposed to be waltz before his VA dropped out of the project and they scrambled to get Aiden in instead by shoehorning in "Kyle is unknowingly an unreliable narrator" as a plot contrivance? Why does Aiden look so much like Waltz?

it may be just because we've seen so little and been spoon fed story details

BUT

Olivia is giving big betrayal vibes. We obviously don't have nearly enough information to proper theorize but everything I've seen about her so far is throwing red flags.

I'm just calling the shot now. I could completely miss the hoop and end up getting knocked out by the ball but I will have at least been true to my goofy self
