Greetings and fair travels, adventurers!
Today is Session 0 for our Exandrian Sundays game and I am super excited to see what everyone has come up with for their character concepts! I will update this post later tonight with information on each of the characters! We now have a group of five players and I cannot even begin to explain how much I am looking forward to building this campaign within Exandria for them.
-Tasha
UPDATE: We have SIX total players now! This is the largest group I’ve ever homebrewed for and it makes me anxious as heck but I’m also excited! Now to introduce the players and their characters:
Carrie is playing Aririel, the Red Draconblood Dragonborn (Hallowed One) Monk
Criss is playing Merak, the Drow Bard
ginny is playing Kimmy, the Tiefling Paladin of Kord
Liz is playing Wysteria, the Sea Elf Artificer
Torrie is playing Titus, the Half-Orc Barbarian
Zack is playing Redrum, the Goblin Ranger
Our first session will be whenever we can all meet up in person once our state’s stay-at-home order is lifted. I can’t wait to update y’all on what happens!
Bardic Subclass: The College of Dance
This subclass is a conglomeration of parts from subclasses by the same (and similar) names from the following people on dndbeyond: RhogarNorixius, Tomerico_Yampampiko, and TheWalkingVirus.
Bards of the College of Dance are fearless performers who entertain and enchant their audiences with endearing, seductive, or technically impressive choreography, while using the same skill set to strike unexpectedly at their enemies.
Star Dancer
When you join the College of Dance at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in Acrobatics and Performance. If you already have proficiency in either or both of these skills, you gain expertise in it or them.
Dancer's Elegance
At 3rd level, After intense training you have obtained full control over your body movements. While not wearing armor, you're AC = 10 + DEX + CHA.
In addition you can ignore the verbal component of any spell, but in order to use Bardic inspiration you need the creature to be able to see you.
Bewitching Bellydance
At 6th level, you have learned to surround yourself in magic during your dance to charm others. As an action, and by spending a bardic inspiration die, choose one creature that can see you within 30 ft. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw versus your spell save DC or be charmed by you until the end of your next turn, or up to one minute if you maintain concentration on this ability. This effect ends if the target takes damage from you or your allies, or a creature uses its action to snap them out of it. To maintain concentration on this ability, you must spend your bonus action each turn to maintain the effect. A creature that successfully saves against this effect is immune to it for 24 hours.
Aggressive Choreography
Also at 6th level, your graceful dancing allows you to suddenly attack your foes with flexibility and force.
You gain the following benefits while you are aren’t wearing armor or wielding a shield:
You can use Dexterity instead of Strength for the attack and damage rolls of your unarmed strikes.
You can roll a d6 in place of the normal damage of your unarmed strikes.
Your unarmed strikes count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
Empowered Choreography
At 14th level, you may:
Add your Charisma modifier to the attack and damage rolls for your unarmed strikes.
In addition, the damage from your unarmed strikes increases to a d8.
Gain an additional 10 ft of movement per round that you give out Bardic Inspiration.
Hello fair adventurers and welcome to the wonderful world of Exandria!
I am your Dungeon Master, Tasha, and this blog will be a place for me to put all the information I would like about my homebrew campaign set in Matthew Mercer’s amazing world. I am so very excited to jump into this with some of my best friends (Criss, Carrie, Liz and ginny).
I hope to journal what happened each session, sort of a post-session recap, each Sunday evening post-game (around 8 pm EST). I will also be posting homebrew items, subclasses and other such items that we use here. I will also share homebrew items from other creators that I am implementing within my world.
Our group of potential heroes will be starting their journey at level one, and I look forward to getting their backstories so I can plan our starting point. My thought is to start in either Wildemount or Tal’Dorei, but Marquet and Issylra are open as well!
Our first official session for this campaign will be on May 3, though we are having a session zero to finalize characters/backstory ideas on April 26. I look forward to being able to share our adventures with you all!
In the words of the lovable Taryon Darrington: This is going to be fun, fun, fun!
