Dante:
✮Dante’s seen a lot of bloodshed in his life, but never had he felt this amount of panic before. He doesn't really understand why, he's lost people close to him many times so why now did he feel so... helpless? Like the one good thing in his life, the one constant, the one person he knew would stay was being be ripped away from him?
That's when it hits him, he doesn't just like you, he loves you. You had seen him at his worst and he had seen you on the verge of breaking. You knew him past his performance, past his jokes and past the barriers he put up so no one would try to break him.
✮That's when he spills, like a waterfall finally being able to fall, he cries. For once in his life he speaks about what he feels. He holds your bloody body and spills every thought he's had in the back of his mind since he started trusting you. And all you could do was listen, listen as a man who never trusted anyone, let himself speak as if he had finally found the words he had been longing to say since the first time he ever trusted you. And all you could do was listen, no bone in your body could move, no bone in your body could console him and wipe his tears as much as you wanted to. it was if you were screaming und no one could hear you.
✮When he's finally told that you'll be ok, he’s nervous. He had just said every thing he had been holding back and he didn't even know if you felt the same. Please hold him and tell him the feeling is mutual, he's dying to know
Vergil:
✮Vergil doesn't want to admit that he holds you close, that he always looks out for you... That he loves you, it’s illogical, loving you doesn't bring him power it doesn't make him stronger, in fact it did the opposite. He thought himself unworthy of your love, of the one thing he craved more than power.
✮So when Vergil saw you, covered in blood, struggling for air he knew that something had to change. You were something he cherished, as much as he hated to admit it you truly were woven into his heart. He was unsure about what todo, was there any saving you? If you were going to die now, die knowing what weighed on his heart. He held you body, not caring about the blood soaking his hands and spoke. His voice was barely above a whisper, as if he couldn't believe the wards he was saying. He didn't know if you hated him or if the feeling was mutual considering the ant you couldn't speak.
✮Lord have mercy on him when you wake up und ask him about what he had said to you...
Nero:
✮Nero couldn't understand what was infont of him, you always made him laugh, like you knew when the world was heavy on him. Everything felt lighter with you, so seeing you bloody and laid out on the ground felt like something straight from a hell crafted for him. This wouldn't happen to you... You wouldn’t leave him would you?
✮That's when tears fall down his cheeks, he could care less about who was watching when you were infront of him struggling to breath and keep your eyes open. That's when the would decided to finally tell him what that worm feeling was whenever he was around you... Love, it was love. And now that he knew what this feeling was he thought you had a right to know as well. Nero had never been particularly good with words but now that death was looming over your head he spoke, he spoke whatever came into his mind, because you had the right to know, he needed you to know, if he didn’t tell you he was just going to regret this forever.
✮After the most dreadful several hours of his life he finally gets the news that you’ll be ok, he’s a little hesitant to see you know that he just gave you a full on Shakespeare poem about hoe he loved you but when you tell him you feel the same you’ll catch the first genuine smile on his face since the incident.

𝔚𝔞𝔯𝔫𝔦𝔫𝔤𝔰: Probably an ooc vergil but whateva
✮Vergil thought about the existence of angels for a while, if demons existed, then angels must exist as well, right?
✮He honestly craves to know more about you but keeps himself away from you, he feels like he’s tainting you. He’s a demon, a subhuman at best, and you’re an angel, something divine and perfect. How was he meant to stand next to you knowing this information?
✮As much as Vergil tries to stay away from you, he seems to be always observing you. How did you, an angel, walk this earth? How could you even look at Vergil? Are all angel as beautiful as you? So many things he wanted to know yet how could he bring himself to ask?
✮Vergil isn’t the best with words, he never was and never will be, but when you finally start hanging around him for a reason he doesn’t know he finds himself speaking in ways he didn’t know he could. Speaking with you seemed so easy, even though you yourself were something holy and divine you never looked down on him for being below you. He found himself near you most of the time, even he didn’t know how he gets next to you sometimes.
✮Vergil feels this need to protect you, you don’t know how evil this world is, you don’t know how evil hell is. That is something he wants to keep the same, to save you from the malice and misery that comes with being around him. It truly was odd, he himself had shed so many blood, killed many, and done things no one should have ever done in a pursuit of power; but when he’s near you, he feels normal, like someone who belongs.
✮If you have wings he’s very curious about them, as much as he acts that he isn’t he likes to observe them, how they twitch, how they flutter and how soft they look… that that he will ever purposefully touch them. If you two are together, he comes around to being more comfortable around them, he still feels as if he is somehow tainting them and this is a privilege someone like him shouldn’t have.
✮He enjoys admiring you whenever he can, even though he denies it whenever you catch him he takes in what he can about you. He has something in him telling him he shouldn’t, but he can’t, if you leave him one day at least let him carve you memory into his mind so he can remember the angel he was once next to
✮He tries to find out what he can about angels, from reading passages and books describing them to subtly asking you questions. He needs to know the difference between you and him, is the gap between the two of you truly as big as others seem to make it be?
✮Vergil will cherish you as if you were an angel sent solely for him, you might never know the pain of being a devil, but he never puts it against you, how could he? You were the one thing he was certain he wanted to keep, the one thing he selfishly wanted for himself, and now that he knew that you too wanted him he couldn’t feel more content.
✮Vergil is your most devout follower and admirer, the day that he is not is a day that will never come. He is entirely enamoured by you and will never not be.

Dante:
✮As flamboyant and flashy as Dante is I think he isn’t the biggest fan of PDA so if you want cuddle or hug him its better if you were to do it behind closed doors, not saying he won’t hold your hand outside.
✮Definitely a small spoon, will become the big spoon if he or you feels like it though. He loves being so close to you that there’s no space between the two of you, if you two are gonna cuddle you two are gonna do it the ‘right’ way (he’s just going to cling to you like a lifeline and complain and whine if you try to get up)
✮He also enjoys having you pressed against his chest or just having his arms around you, having you so close to him makes him want to believe that you’re staying. He’s never had someone he could lean on before, he’s sure this is what it feels like to have that person though.
✮He wouldn’t directly tell you he wanted to cuddle; he would most likely just pull you in saying some cheesy one liner. If you were to ask him wouldn’t respond with words, he’d just jump into your arms.
✮Totally the guy that hogs the entire blanket on purpose just so you get close to him, he was never too good with words, so this is the most direct thing you’ll get from him… for now.
✮Definitely seeks out your touch and warmth after rough days, it truly is pathetic how much he melts into your touch; but he never felt safer. It was odd, usually he was the one saving and protecting people, but when he was with you it was like he was the one who felt safe… he hasn’t felt like this in a while, so don’t leave, please?
Nero:
✮Nero is somewhat like Dante in the sense that he would rather cuddle you behind closed doors but doesn’t mind some light PDA.
✮Likes being the big spoon more than the small spoon, there’s no real reason other than the fact that he just wants to hold you. Nero wouldn’t mind being the small spoon either, whatever you want is what he wants.
✮Also like Dante, Nero wouldn’t ask you to cuddle he would just look at you hoping you get the message or just pull you in himself. If you ask him though, he’s rarely said no.
✮I like to think that Nero enjoys your weight on top of him which is why he mainly prefers to be the big spoon.
✮When he’s been gone for a long time or you two haven’t seen each other in a while he likes to just cuddle with you while you two talk about what you’ve both been up two, it’s the one peaceful outcome he likes to cherish in his moments of tranquility
✮He also loves laying down on your chest and feeling/listening to your heartbeat, he never admits that he’s doing it.

✮When he first tastes your baking he feels like he’s ascended to heaven… which is a little weird considering he’s a demon but that doesn’t matter right now, after the first bite he declared that he had never tasted anything better and that he would sing your praises till the end of time.
✮He’s like a dog that will constantly beg for food if he sees you making or eating any. Safe to say he’s ecstatic when you first give him some extra pastries, may have cried some tears of joy but wtv.
✮He finds it stupid to say out loud, but he feels better whenever he eats something you’ve made, especially if you made it just for him. It feels like someone still had it in them to care about him and what he likes… you’ll never hear that come out of his mouth though, the way he looks at you might get the point across.
✮After he’s done hunting demons and he feels particularly tired he always swings by wherever you are, he says its to taste some of that heavenly food but you and him both know he also enjoys staying in your company.
It had been an exhausting day, demon after demon thrown at him. Nothing he couldn’t handle but sometimes he wished he could get a break, a break… that’s when the genius idea to come around and annoy you came to him, while he was at it he could also taste some of that heavenly manna also known as your baking.
Of course, your door was always open to your favourite demon hunter. So when he came to you when the moon was shining its brightest, it didn’t surprise you, he always had worked late.
Dante waltzed right into the kitchen knowing he would find you there “Sooo… what’cha makin this time?” he said leaning on the counter watching you crouch down near the oven.
You looked up at him, batter all over you and flour probably in your hair… whatever, it didn’t matter to him you still looked as breath taking as ever… not that he said that though…
“I’m making muffins, I didn’t know what kind to make so I made 3 different batches...” You said looking at all the scattered ingredients around you. “Honestly, I don’t know why I did, I’m never going to finish all of these… but hey, you can help me with that right?”
Dante looked down at you and laughed under his breath, then laughed louder. “Three?! You made three different batches?! Are you tryna feed the entire country or somethin? It’s a good thing I’m here to help you out with that” He said that last part a little quieter but you still heard it nonetheless
“Good!” you said perking up from where you were still crouched down near the oven. “I was starting to think I just wasted all my good ingredients, now I know that they’ll be going towards my favourite demon hunter.” You said with a wink
Dante didn’t say anything, it didn’t mean he didn’t hear you, he was probably just salivating at the thought of eating your food… what a dog….
✮Give Dante an entire bakery’s worth of food and watch him demolish it in 15 minutes while saying that he lowk wants more… as long as its from you!
Can you write Nero / Vergil / Dante x Chronically ill GN reader? I have Cyclical Vomiting Syndrome and Crohn’s disease and am in the hospital for a flare up of both 😭. Or just head cannons on how they would act if the reader is in a flare / sick but not with a cold. (Not vomiting but nauseous and stomach pain)
Also as someone who deals with vomiting and random pains a LOT it’s really funny to learn how people around me react to me casually saying something like “Oh hold on im about to throw up” or “Oh wow that really hurts” and grabbing my stomach and keeling over for like a minute then sitting back up straight and continuing on like nothing happened. A lot of people freak out (especially the people who are normally quite chill) and some just freeze and stare at me in shock.
And it would be nice to see some headcannons of them going to the emergency room with you. Like waiting the long ass hours in the waiting room then talking to the nurses and the doctor and listening to all the drama going on outside. (As im writing this theres a guy who was arrested threatening to piss his pants because the cop wouldn’t let him go into the bathroom and lock the door).
I get it if this ask is gross/ you dont want to write for it so dont feel pressured at all!

Nero:
✮When Nero first saw you randomly vomit he was genuinely scared that something happened to you, when you explained that it was just something happened sometimes because of your chronic illness he was genuinely stunned. You just… threw up sometimes? He never really had any experience with chronic illness so he tries his best to help you in any way he can.
✮Whenever you randomly tell him you’re going to throw up he just sighs, because he knows you’re about to double over and sound like you’re dying and them immediately get back up and act like nothing happened, it creeps him out, but he’ll never say that out loud.
✮He feels a little bad that he cant help you wait the pain much, but he tries to do what he can, he gets a little scared when you tell him “Wait I’m gonna vomit” in the middle of conversations but he’ll get used it… to an extent.
✮When you start flaring up and feeling worse he’ll do what he can, from holding you to getting you whatever you ask. He’s faithfully by your side like very devoted knight; he’s seen more gruesome things than this so trust that he can handle this.
✮Nero doesn’t mind waiting in the hospital whenever you’re in there, sure he might complain about the uncomfortable seats, but he just grumbles and looks away whenever you tell him he can leave.
✮He says he doesn’t care about hospital drama, but he is so damn locked in whenever it happens, the doctor could be telling him that you’re about to die and he would be looking over his shoulder to see a guy with no legs breakdancing while getting yelled at by security.
✮Whenever the doctors tell him something and there isn’t hospital drama he takes it very seriously, he’s the type of guy to follow their orders to a tee. He does NOT play about ts and you can tell.
✮He’s the type of guy to be talking to you while in the chair next to your bed and then fall asleep mid sentence, he doesn’t mean to he’s just one of those people that’s always lowk sleepy. It might be because he’s always out doing something for the Devil May Cry, being with you is calming and what better way to spend time with the in pain and struggling you than to sleep.
✮Overall Nero is a pretty ok when it comes to something like this, he may be inexperienced in chronic illnesses, but he makes up for it with the pure determination to help you and make you feel better.
Dante:
✮Dante also doesn’t really know what to do when it comes to your chronic illness, he desperately wants to but has never really dealt with anything like this. He sometimes jokes about it but it never has any real bite, Dante’s seen basically everything, but this is something feels a little uneasy about sometimes; seeing someone he cares for in pain has never been an easy sight for Dante, but he’ll try to understand that it isn’t something you can’t just stop.
✮The first time you said that you were about to throw up, doubled over and sounded like you were dying and then came right back to continue the conversation he was genuinely stunned. He’s seen a lot of things, but this just wasn’t one of them. He was in distress thinking something had come over you and that you were lowk gonna drop dead in the next two minutes
✮After understanding that wasn’t gonna happen he tries to help you, whether it’s holding you to getting you stuff.
✮He honestly hates waiting in the hospital waiting room since it’s being in there is either the most boring thing ever or there’s some absolute bullshit going down, he prefers the second option because when he sees you he can tell you about the absolute buffoonery going on outside.
✮He honestly tunes out the doctors sometimes, unless they’re specifically talking to him he aint listening to a word that their saying. He’s not doing it on purpose he just doesn’t seem as focused on them as he is on you.
✮Dante isn’t the best at things like this but he tries since that’s all he can really do, hopefully he isn’t making things worse somehow.
Vergil:
✮Vergil doesn’t see you as weak for this, He finds it inconvenient at times, but he’ll never hold it against you.
✮Whenever you flare up or start to get worse you’ll find him expressing his worry a bit more than he usually does; it’s a small thing but he knows you’ll always notice so there’s no real reason to cover it up.
✮He also does not like waiting in the hospital waiting room, its far too bright and puts him off I way he can’t describe. He doesn’t mind being in your room, it’s a little more bearable when he can see you and talk to you.
✮The doctors will tell him about certain procedures and what to do and he listens like their singing a ballad of unrivaled beauty. He takes everything literally and will do everything and more, he’s very reliable in that sense and it’s comforting to know someone is willing to go this far for you so its worth it
✮ Whenever you vomit and then immediately come back up to being normal he looks at you for a moment before stopping the conversation and making sure ok, he doesn’t want to act like nothing happened, so he wont. After making sure you’re alright he’ll awkwardly continue the conversation you two were having, he doesn’t know how to act normally after what just happened so give him a moment will ya?
