Conclusion to a hectic Project - stop motion

okie dokie I expected some type of difficulties as soon as stop motion was mentioned not only have I had some experience with it, I knew it was a hard bitch to deal with (pardon my french) but I never used Premier Pro to edit it...so yeah I was a little scared about this though the group I was working with had a positive attitude and great ideas. Of course our first step was to think of one solid storyline involving bubble gum, so by incorporating several ideas everyone came up with a story which resulted in our movie 'Greed'. We split up into roles, with me as the Filmer. I found filming to be great fun and I believe I did it fairly well. Apart from me, Daniel, Jed, and Lyn were all actors and then we all edited and tried our hardest to complete everything on time. When editing the group struggled as we were unprepared for how long and difficult it can be to put all the pieces together after much frustration, tears, and bickering Jed had managed to complete it off combining all of our hard work. In the end I'm very pleased with our results and I'm happy to say...never again haha it was fun though I believe digital media isn't really for me when it comes to the movie making.

Project 2 Conclusion

Project 2 Conclusion: The Demise Of Bubblegum Town

The process of putting this stop motion animation has been fun. From the begginings of disscussing with my team (Jill, Carolyn, Natalie) about possible stories and ideas to include the chewing gum. Then coming up with idea of the of the Bubble Gum Town  being destroyed by a bubblegum blob on rampage.

We all contributed bits for the day of shooting, Jill had made the playdough blob, Natalie made the bubble gum tree, Carolyn made the backdrop and set and I supplied the camera and tripod on which to shoot from.

I enjoyed my role in the team as being the “filmer/photographer” and being able to help direct where the action should lead on the camera view. While they moved the objects that were on set. It was a real team effort on shooting day.

We all contributed help while importing the pictures into Adobe Premiere Pro and arranging them in the right order. Watching and helping each other through the process. Natalie and Carolyn oraganised the music, downloading it from youtube and then converting to Adobe Premiere Pro. I found the sound effects of the women’s scream, the pop and the dun dun dun.. (suspense music). Then Carolyn arranged it on Adobe premiere pro while we all watched and put our input in about timing sequences.

When we had completed we then could export to media, we chose a few different formats, but we found that the best quality option was to format it as MPEG 2 then upload the video to youtube then link to tumblr from there.
