A/N - Now that I have finally finished DMMD, we get to what I’m inching to do! Which is also my standard in what I do anyways but I’m still excited—fanfic writing! We’re gonna start simple with headcannons so we’re starting with Eepy time headcannons with Sweet Aoba.

- from what I can gleam in my own interpretation, Aoba is a heavy sleeper to me. Once he’s out, he is out. There has to be drastic measures to get him up. Like Koujaku lifting the bed to get him out or Beni poking him with his beak.
- that said, he’s also an attentive cuddler as well.
- if you plan to sleep over with him, he’ll put an effort to make you as comfortable as possible.
- of course, he’ll give the option if you want to cuddle or sleep next to him. Comfort is his top priority when it comes to you or anyone else he cares about.
- if you’re down for it, this means cuddles! As you’re alright with that, he’ll cuddles you as close he can to keep you safe & warm.
- through the cuddling, he’ll try to soothe you through gentle touches that hopefully ease you into sleep.
- circle like motions of his thumb on your arm, or simply rubbing your back with his hand. Always remaining to be gentle.
- once you have fallen asleep, he follows suit. Wrapping his arms around you while still wanting to remain contact with your skin.
- sometimes will give small pecks to your forehead or cheeks. Throwing in ‘I love yous’ along with ‘Goodnights’
With how sweet & protective he is, this ain’t surprising with people he loves.
I’m in an angst mood so I’m gonna cry about Ren I already have multiple times. With writing an imagine scenario of the reader emotionally suffering over Ren.

Also note that romantic feelings between the reader & ren don’t settle till human ren. Just letting you guys know.

Ren being no longer present with you & Aoba - had viscerally crushed you both. Of course, Aoba was saddened that his best friend was no longer there, but you… it pained you.
You adore Ren. Your attachment to animals led to you being smitten with him where you dote on him with love & care as you would show to any animal. Beyond that, the aspects you come to know of him made you familiar with this allmate companion that made you cherish him as his own person. One that ease your anxieties & pain.
Now… he was gone. At first, you felt numb. Not being able to process of the possibility you won’t get to hear his voice nor feel his person there anymore. Once it finally set in… tears flow down your face. Unable to stop the crashing emotions that hit so painfully in your heart.
The pain lingered. You couldn’t stop crying for a while. Even when you eventually did - when you come by to see Aoba with him giving the okay to see allmate Ren, the pain with the tears comes rushing in. Holding the small blue puppy close with it licking your tears away that only seems to only amplify your pain. Aoba comforting you from behind as you two cried.
Now, Ren was back. But this time, it with Sei’s body that had Ren’s soul. When Aoba revealed the revelation of that this was ren, you froze in place. The idle chatter of those around you sound distant & muffled. Conflicting emotions colliding all at once. All you could do at that moment was reach, caress his cheek & fall into his arms. Holding him tight as you were afraid that he would disappear again if you ever thought of letting go. Ren stood there, bewildered by how desperate you clung to him.
Yet… he felt the deep emotions that resonated with this fragile embrace. Now reciprocating it with his own firm hold. Amber eyes staring down at you affectionately as you sob into his chest. Aoba looking on with a similar affection & happiness for you two’s long awaited reunion.
How's about a cute little head canon where everyone is out trying to work up the money for Aoba's eye surgery, so while they're gone Aoba is completely bored and trying to do whatever chores he can. Taking out the rubbish and cleaning up the tea cups from the table because he can remember where everything goes, but Ren is still running around thinking he's going to knock into something and hurt himself.
And as Aoba is walking outside his foot bumps into a little package on the doorstep. There's a card on the side and Ren reads it out to him.
It's from Noiz, saying he's sorry that he hadn't been able to see Aoba much that week, but that he got something to keep him and Ren company.
So he goes inside and opens the package, and inside is something soft and super fluffy and he can't even see what it is but he already loves it and holds it close.
And then Ren tells him it's a green and black rabbit plush with very long ears and Aoba just starts crying for a whole bunch of reasons.
