Thought I'd drop a note here since its been quiet since chapter 13 was posted. Things have gotten hectic again, work, people, games, etc etc, getting in the way- (not to mention writing about androids living in a desert like future where one used to be human and perhaps its a follow on to another AU I was writing.. Bit of a side project that, don't mind me...) -but I am back to working on my main fic for the most part. Chapter 14 still needs an ending, it's grown a little longer than first planned but that seems to always happen and that's okay. I refuse to split it because I want Aoba's operation to happen within the next 2 to 3 chapters max (including this one). Having something change so organically is wonderful, embrace the lengthy journey! And I've made the poor guy wait long enough- I want to rewrite it on paper, before copying it BACK onto docs so I can really work out those annoying kinks (rewriting is something I really need to do more of, as opposed to editing and more editing. This chapter feels a little tricky so I need to do it justice.), and then I can put those papers in my bulky annoying binder of obsolete and embarrassing physical pages that I will burn eventually. Alongside that, my mind has been darting about everywhere along the time line so I've been writing snippets from the near future all the way to the end of the fic which is both great and confusing. Filling in those future spaces is always a good thing, since it gives me more to write about once I get there BUT it's also making me think more about what order things have to happen in, which is difficult when I'm not actually there yet! I might write an awesome scene which then in turn might push out another scene I've already written. For example I thought I knew where my fic would end but now suddenly I have a whole new train of through leading me all over the place and I wonder if it's better to show people all of how Aoba's life can change or to just give the impression of a new beginning... Both endings are good for their own reasons, I just know that you can over write something, in the same way you can over work a painting. I ramble in every aspect of life, wow. Anyway. I just want to thank the net Lords for google Docs and its non existant limit on writing files. I remember using an app called My Writing Nook back in 2014 which, at the time, was cool, but I dreamed of an app that didn't require some knowledge of physics to sync with another device. Google has provided. Thank you thank you. Also, thank you for everyone's continued patience as I finally get back on track, and to the people who commented on that last chapter. You encourage me to at least try and stick with this for once and not let distractions drag me away. Thank you :') Till next time, -the bootiest of Aobooties ❤️ And if anyone wants to drop me a message about anything dmmd, fic or writing related (or anything unrelated I guess) go nuts. I'd love to hear anything about the story, feedback whatever. Might be early days to be wondering about the end, yet.
