He takes off the L mask, sees Ryuk. Knowing he hit the jackpot, he smiles. The game is up, he got Light cornered, he just needs to let him make a move. Light, on the other hand, still doesn't get it.

The paneling is absolutely delicious, it shows Light, the Task Force, and Ryuk from Near's POV. But so subtle you might miss it due to anticipation.

Age Gap Preferences: Updated

I've done this headcanon before, but using what their ages would be in 2025 according to their anime birthdates, so I decided I'd do another using their canonical ages both pre and post time skip.

L Lawliet (24-25)

He would date as young as 18 or as old as up to 48.

L is not picky, as long as he loves you and you love him in return, it's legal, and you're not more than 25-30yrs older, it's all fair game to him.

Light Yagami (Pre: 17-18) (Post: 23)

Pre time skip, age 17. He would prefer someone his age or slightly older. So 17-19. Though he MAY be willing to date someone slightly younger, like 14 or 15, if he really felt a connection.

Pre time skip, age 18. He prefers a partner who is 18-20, but would possibly date as young as 15 or 16.

Post time skip, age 23. He still prefers someone close in age. His ideal partner would be 23-25. He may date as old as someone in their early 30s, like 32ish, if there was a real connection, or as young as 18.

Mihael Keehl (Pre: 14-15) (Post 19-20)

Pre time skip, he would date as young as 11 or 12. When it comes to older, Mello would be okay with dating a partner as old as 38, thinking it makes him "cool" and not realizing it technically makes him a victim. At this point, he doesn't have an ideal age.

Post time skip, he would date as young as 2 years younger, so 17-18. He would still be willing to date much older, up to 42 now, but his ideal partner would be within the 18-23 range.

Mail Jeevas (Pre: 14) (Post: 19)

Pre time skip, he would date as young as 11-12 or as old as 16-17. His ideal partner would be 13-16.

Post time skip, he would date as young as 17, maybe up to 16 if there was a real connection. He would have an upward limit of 42. Though, his ideal partner would be 18-22.

Nate River (Pre: 13) (Post: 18)

Pre time skip, he would date as young as 11-12 or as old as 14-15. Near would not date outside of his his preferred age range.

Post time skip, he would date as young as 16, maybe 15 at best. And wouldn't date anyone older than 25. Though his ideal partner would be 2-3 years younger than him.
