Creating my first dnd character I’m so hyped

I am officially obsessed with ttrpg(dnd specifically). How come that it has never occurred to me before how perfect of a hobby it is for me??? story telling and world building, character creation(helloooo?!), cool intricate rules, dopamine from rolling dice, can be played on a budget(This will not be possible for me I fear), socialising but in a way where I don’t have to be self conscious because technically I’m not me!? my nerd meter just went up again

also started binging d20 fantasy high on youtube. I actually cannot tell you how much I freaking love it. By the time I reached episode 3 I subscribed to dropout.

now i just need friends who want to play… hmmmmm🥲

Ngl I used to think DnD was just draw pic and let dice decide fate (It's much more work 😔)

Anyways my first One shot DnD Campaign is tomorrow with some new people! Wish me luck and their patience in dealing with a noob 🙃

I've finally figured out that I really like gothic fantasy dnd (ie Strahd) more than classical dnd which is fine! except that the newer campaign I'm in is... classical dnd. And I dunno how (or if?? it gives the vibe of being a no-no in dnd etiquette) to say that I would prefer some more gothic/darker elements

it's very very possible that it will get there, since we are still only level 3, but... yeah
