Expanded Armory (2/3)

Last time, I introduced the Expanded Armory with a collection of Uncommon magic items to complement new armor types. Now, it’s time to reveal the armors themselves. In this second part, here you have the proper stats for D&D 5e for these armors, including a new light, medium, and heavy armor, as well as new shields to enhance your character’s defense and style at the table.

From the gambeson and brigandine to the lamellar and tower shield, each comes with its own Special trait designed to make your choices feel distinct in both form and function. Whether you’re a Dungeon Master seeking historical realism, you are running a grittier, low-magic style of campaign, or you are a player chasing that perfect build, these additions will bring fresh tactical flavor to your game.

Expanded Armory (3/3)

In the previous post, we explored the new armor and shield options added to the Expanded Armory for D&D 5e. To complete the collection, introduces new ways to customize your character with accessories and attachments that bring even more depth to your character’s defenses. From helmets and gauntlets to pauldrons and shoulder guards, each offering unique mechanical bonuses and tactical flavor, adding both realism and more variety to the characters in your campaign.

Expanded Armory (1/3)

Earlier this year, I created Expanded Weaponry for D&D 5e, featuring new historically inspired weapons to bring more realism and variety to your game. Now, following the same concept, I’ve designed 11 new armor options to upgrade your table, from complete armor suits to new shields and accessories.

You may be wondering, “but Jhamkul, what are the stats for a brigandine, a buckler, or a pauldron?” To that I say, stay tuned and check the posts coming Wednesday and Friday (or they’re already up if you’re from the future) to see them, as each of these new armor options includes its own unique Special traits.

In the meantime, here’s a set of Uncommon magic items to help you customize your build and make it easier for Dungeon Masters to integrate these new armors into their worlds.
