Actually, I wrote a fic just like that on the one year anniversary of the meetup.
Here's the link, I hope you like it!

happy late night in the middle of june from california where we're currently having a heat wave.
idk if this counts as prompt but ig dnf seeing everything for dnf day this year and like rememcing abt it? or smthn like that
Oooh I like that! Thank you!
I totally forgot about the 1975 song on repeat... I wonder if either relate to when Matty said "this is about you, you know who you are, I love you"
And like you said, which song DOESN'T remind you of them? Every damn song was about them at one point in my life and they serious haunt my narrative lol. I could seriously write for HOURS on how it simply could not have been casual at at least one point in time
And the question of "what songs remind you of dnf" always brings me back when someone asked George what songs reminded him of Dream and then Dream went and said Heat Waves after George said Roadtrip and it always makes me wonder, what other songs remind them of each other? Are there songs that remind them of them?
They make me sick and keep me up at night, can you tell?
Anyways! Those were my two cents and happy DNF day Pen!
Hi Dot!
Oh my goodness I could go on and on too because yeah, there are so many songs that remind me of them. Happy songs, sad songs, in between songs.
Regarding them having songs for each other - I'd like to think that if they ever heard the song Classic they'd start giggling because of that Minecraft karaoke moment where they were dancing on the fence 😏.
And Hey There Delilah too - that one clip of them at the concert where it played and they looked at each other and smiled. So sweet.
And it'll be that way for years - I can totally picture them when they're my age, and Heatwaves starts playing and they just look at each other and smile 😊
Happy DNF Day to you too (30 minutes left here!)
hello everyone happy dnf day to all those who celebrate 💙💚
It’s DNF Day, where I list the reasons I’m not finishing some books! Remember, you don’t have to read things you don’t like, and you can DNF for any reason or no reason at all.
I don’t like the narrator nor the style.
Slow to start, and not interesting enough to keep me around longer.
This feels similar to [another book by the same author] in many of the ways that made it just okay for me. In particular I find myself disliking the animal companion, this time it’s a Corgi. I want the guy to be broody instead of just quiet, I have very little sense of what anyone thinks, and I’m just not having a good time, so I’m stopping.
It feels like it’s taking forever to get anywhere. It’s so short that I made it over halfway through but I’m not enjoying it and I keep reading other things instead of making any progress. I was excited by the idea of a queernormative fantasy world but ultimately distressed by a queernormative fantasy space having dysphoria and medical gatekeeping for trans/nonbinary characters. The only thing I know about a particular trans character is their dysphoria and desperation, with not much shown beyond that. They’re not the only trans character, which helps a little, but is still frustrating
It definitely doesn’t help that SWORDHEART by T. Kingfisher is so good that it feels like it ruined me for other quippy second-world fantasy journey stories. This particular round of DNFs happened right after I finished SWORDHEART and was figuring out what to read next.
