on dnp twitter, i feel like i’m seeing sooo much talk about how people miss AmazingPhil and wondering if both solo channels are dead, and mm…

i don’t know if it’s an unpopular opinion, but i think it’s obvious the solo channels are not the priority anymore and i don’t really… understand the obsession?? i totally get the nostalgia, but it’s clear they’re both so passionate about the joint Dan and Phil account and they’re excited to make all this content for it, and we’re getting SO MUCH content!! and they fully HARD LAUNCHED JUST so they could do this at its full capacity with honesty and sincerety!!!! ,,so why are the people i see on twitter so obsessed with whether or not we’re going to get wdapteo on AmazingPhil or Dan and Phil, and whether it’s gonna be recorded in the studio???

i see that a lot too, people upset about things being recorded in the studio (which is gorgeous, btw) and again, i understand expressing a little grief for the end of an era but i see it so often that i wonder… what some of these fans think they built the set for 😭 it just feels a little bit gross to me. they built the set, in part, to maintain a better work-life balance, and we STILL GET videos from the phouse as well. so idk, seeing SO many of these posts on my feed bothers me.

anyways TL;DR: i don’t understand the complaints i see on twitter about Dan and Phil vs the solo channels, and studio vs the phouse. we are getting such good content either way guys. 😭

side note: i haven’t seen very much discourse like that here, but twitter scares me and i don’t wanna get jumped :,) so have my little phandom rant, and pls share your opinions too!!! have you guys seen this at all???

They're 26 and 31, if they wanna have separate merch or stop relying on screaming at video games for cash, that's totally up to them.

I know we love the boys to pieces, but separate branding won't be the end of the world. Having to find someone else's Sim to live vicariously through won't be difficult.

k so about this discourse eh

I don't normally involve myself into drama, especially being this late to the party, especially with dnp because I see this fandom as my safe place. But it's because of that, that I feel a need to say something.

Before I start, I don't think this person is a malicious person and I do believe that they truly feel sorry. That being said, there's something in their apology that rubbed me the wrong way.

They start off the second half of their apology by saying that they just mindlessly agreed to the unpopular opinion ask without fully knowing what they were agreeing too. And that sounds, pardon my French, kinda bullshit.

Excusing yourself by saying you didn't know what you were agreeing too doesn't really cut it. "Queer people are entitled" completely and clearly negates the discrimination we have and currently face and shows a severe ignorance to the struggles of the lgbt+ community. And as a self proclaimed ally, you'd think they would have realized that.

Also, that kind of makes it worst?? Because if they just trigger-finger agreed to the statement without thinking, that means it's something that they have thought of before/is an opinion they had previously formed.

From my--a queer person who hasn't heard of this blog until now-- point of view, it looks like they don't fully know why people are hurt. But I feel like they understand that they have hurt people and feel genuinely apologetic, and I hope they take this as an opportunity to grow
