When your levator scapulae are both super tender but there's no one around who can do counterstrain on them... #DOproblems
Today at the hospital I’m signing a form so one of my patients can get in hospital schooling while getting her chemo. I sign it as I always do, Liz Lastname DO and hand it to the social worker so it can be faxed off.
She looks at and hands it back to me, “do you have an MD behind your name?”
“No, I’m a DO,” I state giving her back the form.
“What’s a DO?” she asks, genuinely perplexed.
“Doctor of Osteopathy,” I respond as she looks at me like I’ve sprouted a second head, “It’s like MD, only different letters. I went to medical school and can do everything the MD’s do I promise.”
“I’ll have to make some phone calls and see if they’ll allow this.” she said slowly backing away.
She must have found someone who had heard of DO’s because she didn’t bring the form back. This is the first time my degree has been questioned. I don’t like it.
today is really hard
I have no inner motivation making me spring to my feet to complete the routine that I've settled into and there's no impending crisis forcing me to get it together but I NEED TO DO THINGS. BECAUSE I SET GOALS THIS YEAR. BECAUSE I GOTTA ; - ;
Tapos na namin silang kausapin ni mama blancs :)) atfirst medyo nanginginig yung kamay ko pero nung nagstart nang magsalita, ok lang naman hehehe
I hope they accepted it in a positive way :) sana no harm done and sana more improvement ang makita namin for this next weeks and months.. hehehe
Go DO! :D hahaha
Im feeling the responsibility of being a Disciplinary Officer, char! Hahahaha btaw, I thought chill chill lang ang pigiging DO pero I also need to observe the juniors especially the junior cadettes para magkaroon ng tamang disiplina! :) Kakausapin namin sila mamaya, kami ni mama Blancs. Kailangan na talagang pagsabihan ang iba sa kanila and to prevent more issues and chuva ekek :))) Aja aja! :D heheheh
Checking out the NOM week tag, it's full of cats. Oh tumblr you are the best when I'm sleep deprived.
As I sit here trying to study for my OMM final, I'm suddenly wishing I went to MD school.
