It's funny to know, that in the latin american dub. These two have the same voice actor.
//
Divagando y recordé que en el doblaje latino estos tienen el mismo actor de voz, lol.
Humberto Velez
Jose Luis Castañeda
Circe Luna
So, I just found out that Legosi and Agent Stone share a voicecover actor in Latin Spanish.
His name is Carlo Vazquez! He has many other excellent dubbing works
Oh, and also, Goku and Robotnik (Most of Jim Carrey's characters, actually) also have the same voicecover actor!
His name is Mario Castañeda, and he is one of the best known actors in the world of dubbing
I just want to tell you that the world of Latino dubbing is a wonderful place.
- Eren, Shingeki no kyojin
- Ash, Pokémon
- Tai, Digimon
- Ezra Miller, AnimalesFantásticos
otras más pero es muy larga la lista ☺️
About the Sonic Prime dubs in Spain's co-official languages that I saw today, I put them on out of curiosity and something interesting that I've noticed is that all three (Catalan, Euskara, Galician) are very clearly in the style of European Spanish voice acting.
This makes a lot of sense, of course, since all these voice actors must've learned acting in Spain, and I bet they all do Spanish dubs as well. Hell, although they don't have the same cast, the Catalan and Spanish dubs were done by the same studio and had the same director (Anna Orra).
Still, it's interesting because I notice more of a difference in tone and style between the American Spanish and European Spanish dubs, than between the European Spanish and the Catalan/Euskara/Galician dubs. Even though you'd imagine it would be the other way around.
It's funny, to me they sound more familiar despite being in languages that I don't speak (I'm Castilian, so from a region where only Spanish is spoken. I can understand Galician and Catalan reasonably well, being Latin languages and all, but Euskara? It could as well be Hungarian or Chinese).
I don't know if you'll be able to hear it (partly because foreign language, partly because I'm sorry but I have no idea how to screen-record Netflix), but here's a comparison:
I hear the difference, at the very least.
They're all different actors who sound different (the Galician Sonic actor, specifically — weird choice, to be honest), but I think there's a style to the acting that's common in all Iberian actors, and different from the Mexicans.
It's not the first time I notice this difference between American and European Spanish voice acting, but it's never been as obvious until now.
