CHAT PILE are lending their talents to an upcoming independent film & do so by unleashing “TENKILLER,” the title track from said film which’ll also see the light of day as a cassette single via @theflenser (11/18) & it finds the Oklahoma City-based quartet of vocalist Raygun Busch, guitarist Luther Manhole, bassist Stin & drummer Captain Ron bringing a very on-brand piece of molasses-like sludge.

Lexicon of Debates

As the lexicon states it has two purposes, one is to familiarize the reader with some keywords and the second is to put those words into context. Bodies, was one of a couple interesting sections to read. it spoke about women and how they are linked to the world through their bodies “…they have become, property and value for their exchangeability among men.” Because of the genetic make up of women, and the culture they may come from women are seen as less then men.

A term that caught my eye was social construction difference in which their view point is “one is not born a woman but becomes one through social and cultural process.  This reminded me of Foucault’s essay Docile Bodies in which he uses a soldier as an example. A soldier is easily recognizable through is posture and actions. In the same way one can see a woman as a docile body. She has to be created into a woman “women’s bodies are continually reshaped, covered and uncovered according to prevailing ideology through fashion…” Society hasn’t given women a choice on whether or not they want to play this role it was enforced.
