Ancient maps
Further Topofabric Moves
Yo, I was looking at old maps from time periods that land was recently discovered. And like I got to thinking. ISN'T IT WEIRD HOW REALLY DANGEROUS AREAS, like the Appalachia mountains having a lake in them"??" Or California being an island came about!
It just seems to weirdly convient because at the time the land they would be trying to settle would be in the process of being claimed or already inhabited.
And you can't just make a whole society of people leave a place without something called war and battle.
(Anyway side note sorry lol)
I just think what if these maps were like scams. Liked you'd be a poor "essential" worker for the time period and suddenly you're getting an amazing offer from your boss at the wood slicing shop that you and your family can have free land at the Appalachian mountain lake. And you think wow "I've never seen mountains or a lake." And "Wouldn't it be nice to show my family more then this small settlement my parents built, give more than they ever gave to me?"
And you pack up you're life savings and your family and your broken cart and head to the mountains anyway. On the way you cling to this map, you left your whole life behind. You brought all that matters to you, your wife and your children. You're going to be better then your parents gove a good life. Even if it could risk you and your kids lives just on the journey alone.
Along the way it gets colder and colder and all these strange people with thick accents you hardly understand are trying to tell you to turn back. And you feel watched to no end.
(As the americas were settled by the Spanish, British and French people. I imagine they didn't fully understand all of English to the same extent yet.)
And you were lied to. The montains were deadly, there was no lake. No farm land. Nothing and now you are under equipped and not prepared for a hard winter in a place where you struggle to communicate and understand.
Shits wild man. People have been scamming each other with out the care for other humans well being for decades.
Genocide, and lake of empathy by the rich and ruling class is historic and something that democracy tried to destroy but has just came back by the ever growing "wage gap" of the middle class *chocks laughing* and the rich or 'wealthy'..
Soooooo crazy...
Anyway hope you all have fun praising king Amazon of the cheap laborer kingdom Jeff BOZOs. Or suckling above the delicious-Intoxicating-additive toes or mark Zuckerberg and META. You fucking bread and circuses clown.
(I need anger management D:)
