Matilde Montoya
Ella es Matilde Montoya, que era una chingona y cuando tenía 16 años ya había terminado todos sus años escolares, así que intentó ir a la universidad pero eso no le sonó muy bien a la Universidad (era 1873), pero de todos modos lo hizo. Comenzó su carrera como doctora en Puebla, lo malo es que la echaron, pero ella ya había decidido que iba a ser doctora así que se fue a la Ciudad de México y estaba lista para ser doctora, pero de nuevo las leyes no estaban a su favor, las reglas decían que solo los hombres podían graduarse. Pero claro que eso no la iba a detener, entonces ella le envió una carta al PRESIDENTE y él RESPONDIÓ y CAMBIÓ las leyes c: (Porfirio Díaz no era tan malo después de todo) así que ella tomó el examen, pasó y se convirtió en la primera mujer en ser doctora. Así que gracias por convertirse en mi icono de perseverancia.

She is Matilde Montoya who was a smart-ass and when she was 16 had alredy finished all her scholar years, so she tried to going to university but that didn't sounded great to the University (also it was 1873), but she did start her career as doctor in Puebla, bad thing is that they kick her out, but she had already decided that she was going to be a doctor so she went to Mexico City and she was ready to become a doctor, but then again the laws weren't in her favor, the rules said that only men could graduate. But of course that wasn't going to stop her, so she send a letter to the PRESIDENT and he ASNWERED and he CHANGED the laws c: (Porfirio Diaz wasn't that bad after all) so she took the test, passed and became the first woman to be doctor. So thank yo to became my icon of perseverance.
