I received amazing news this past week! I got accepted to the program of my dreams. After all the years of hard work and sacrifice, I can finally say I’m on the path to become a Doctor of Psychology! I am so excited that my voice will be heard on a broader platform and I will be able to challenge the stigma that mental illness carries! I stand here as a powerful mujer who’s mission is to push for continued inclusivity of POC within the mental health community. I’m soooo ready! Diving in! I can't wait to FINALLY read this book by @Christenawithane as part of my Directed Studies class I put together @westernSem. I'm pretty excited. The class is called LEADERSHIP: SYSTEMS READINESS FOR CHANGE TOWARD EQUITY. My focus will be on theory and practical outcomes for @younglife as we do the work of equity within our own systems.
