Four Ways to Become a Standout Nursing Student

Learn about four ways to become a standout nursing student.

Being a standout nursing student might be a dream for some but all it takes is “time”. In other words, investing extra time or maximum time in studying for nursing classes might help to become a standout nursing student. It is true that some nursing classes can get confusing and overwhelming. It is important to mention that confusion and overwhelm have two different meanings. So, a nursing class can get confusing when it is very difficult to grasp the concept which might require extra time to grasp the concept, but this does not mean that the reading is sizable. The reading can be as short as one page. On the other hand, a nursing subject can be overwhelming when the class requires enormous amount of reading and writing which can steal huge amount of time of nursing student. To overcome confusion and overwhelm, a nursing student try to invest extra time. Another way of enhancing the chances of being a standout nursing student as Peter Vogt suggest is to ask question during the class or during the office hours of the instructor, and it is about learning the subject and being able to apply during the practice (Vogt, 2009). At the end of the day, a nurse is all by himself or herself.
