doctoreinsteininstein:
“Because on the hierarchical scale of things, you’re infinitely less annoying than the rest of those idiots they want me to talk to.”
Donnie shifted his legs, moving to draw them up and wrap his arms around them, expression morphing into his default: sulking with a side of peeved. He regarded the smaller turtle with all the wisdom a freakishly smart eight year old could possess, adjusting his glasses imperiously.
“That includes scientists, guards, and Karai.” He wrinkled his nose, put off by the mere thought, “Sometimes I hang out with Mikey but he can get annoying. So my final option is you, Leo. Feel honored.”
For someone inferior to Leo in both age and abilities, Donatello sure did talk like he was better than him and could back it up. Despite Leonardo’s annoyance at his often long drawn out speeches, the turtle was the only one who could get away with it. Not even Karai would speak to him in such a way and she hated him.
Which begged the question as to why Donatello hung around him since he arguably hated him even more. The bratty response made Leo wrinkle his nose. “You’re weird.”
