"Never thought I'd see you in yellow," Hal commented, looking her over.

Sinestro had told him about Soranik, about the ring, but he hadn't quite believed it. Or, at least, he hadn't believed she'd ever leave a yellow ring on. He smiled to soften the blow of his words, leaning against the wall beside her.

"Considering the other option was no ring," he brandished his bare hands, ignoring the ache in his chest when he saw that he'd lost even the tell-tale pale skin around his finger from his own ring, "I can't say I blame you for keeping it."
