I think you think your writing is bad because it's your own writing. There's always someone who appreciates your style, just as you may appreciate styles of writing that other may not. It's your choice to continue a fic but if it upsets you so much, don't feel obligated to finish it. It may be more healthy for you to rewrite it, or take a break :) stay awesome!

Thank you! I think the problem here is me, though. I want to write the thing, and I want to share it, but I don’t feel like it will be good enough, and I really, really don’t want to be one of those authors you pick through just because you want to read the kink and there’s next to nothing else for it so you have to put up with the awful writing.

My best friend openly admitted to tuning me out while I was trying to talk to her about a problem that was bugging me. She didn’t apologize, care, or even look me in the eye. That’s when I knew she wasn’t a friend but just someone I saw five times a week.

I’d probably try to keep an open mind but in the long run, honestly no.
