DoctorWard for number 15 on the wordless ILY prompts!!
Of course!!! Sorry for the wait, nonny! We’re mostly moved into our new apartment, so I hope this is worth the wait!
15. Calming them down when they have a bad dream.
Leopold knew there was things in Grant’s past that he didn’t talk about. There was a lot of that in Hydra. Agents had dark spots, things that kept them driven, that motivated them, that Leopold and other superior officers could use to prod at the agents. There were things in Leopold’s own past that he didn’t talk about, the bruises that Grant kissed, the names, the degradation.
Grant thrashed out in his sleep, and Leopold smoothed his hand over Grant’s shoulder. He wanted to wake Grant but he’d done that once and nearly gotten a fist to the jaw.
“You’re okay, I’m here if you want to wake up,” he said, rubbing his hand down Grant’s back, between his shoulder blades and down his spine. “I’m here, Grant.”
When Grant finally jerked himself awake, his eyes were wild and his breathing hard.
“Good morning, sunshine,” Leopold said gently. “Do you want to talk about it?”
“No,” Grant croaked. Leopold moved his hand up to cup the side of Grant’s face and brushed his thumb over Grant’s jaw.
“Do you want me to read to you?”
“Please,” Grant said. He shifted into Leopold’s side and let out a shaky breath. “Are you reading anything interesting?”
“Cosmos by Carl Sagan,” Leopold answered.
“Oh, so no.”
“Settle in, Grant. Let me help.”
Leopold started the paragraph he’d been reading over again. He’d read Cosmos before, and was rereading it to comfort himself. He started reading out loud, and hoped that the words would comfort Grant as well. Grant’s breathing evened out, and his muscles relaxed. He didn’t fall asleep right away, but Leopold didn’t need him to. He just wanted to be a harbor for him.

This is not a negotiation. DoctorWard!!!
Thanks for the ask, nonny!!! This came out super soft, but that’s just expected at this point lol
2. This is not a negotiation.
Leopold knew better than to let anyone get close, knew better than to open his heart and bed to someone. There was something different about Grant Ward, though, something broken and rebuilt, stronger and still somehow vulnerable. He kissed Leopold easily, as if he wasn’t afraid of being found out. He let Leopold be himself, or something he thought might be himself, when they were together.
“Come here,” Grant said, catching Leopold around the waist as he started to leave the bedroom to get ready for the day. Grant certainly wasn’t supposed to stay over, but they’d gotten lost in each other the night before, and Leopold didn’t have the heart, or the desire, to kick him out of bed, so he’d woken up cradled against Grant’s chest, safe and secure. “I should go before the compound wakes up, but I want one more kiss.”
“One more,” Leopold answered, and kissed Grant slow. He held his jaw in his hands, and let himself be drawn in between Grant’s legs. “Mmm, I’ve got to get ready.”
“No, no, come back here.”
“Grant, I have to get ready for work.”
“One more.”
Leopold let out a chuckle, and kissed him gently before he drew away. Or tried to. Grant’s hands held him by his hips.
“This is not a negotiation,” Leopold said.
“I can be very persuasive.”
“I know that,” he replied, “but I’m already cutting it close as is. I have to get to the lab before my father shows up. You know that.”
Grant left kisses down his neck like presents.
“We could always run away. Then I can kiss you however many times I want.”
“We can’t.”
“I know, but that doesn’t mean I won’t dream.”
“I have some holiday coming up. We’ll go somewhere, then, okay?”
“Okay,” Grant said, “but for that, I get one more kiss.”
“One more, and then you’re cut off, Agent Ward.”
One more turned into two, turned into three, turned into Grant following Leopold into the shower for four, turned into Grant having to slip out as the compound was starting to wake up with damp hair, but those extra kisses were worth it, and Grant was a master negotiator.

Fitzward time travel Grant Redemption canon divergence - 28.8k
Summary:
Grant Ward is kidnapped by Leo Fitz, who is not everything he seems. As Leo struggles with himself and what he must do, Grant Ward learns about the future.
Why I’m Recommending It:
I love the dynamic between The Doctor and Fitz, how Fitz decides to save the world by saving Grant Ward, the intricacy of his plan, and just, everything about this is great. It’s a huge inspiration for Woopsie, and how the Doctor and Fitz interact in my own fics.

What’s that, the sound of complete and utter betrayal? Doctor/Ward
Thanks for the prompt, nonny!
7. What’s that, the sound of complete and utter betrayal?
“Sir,” his assistant said, peeking his face into the lab door, “Madame Hydra requested your presence in the interrogation rooms. They’ve caught a member of the resistance.”
Leopold set down the tablet he’d been working on, and followed the assistant out and to the interrogation rooms. Ophelia was waiting outside, checking her nails as if they weren’t pristine.
“Madame,” Leopold said, and she looked up at him with a sly grin.
“Oh, good, you’re here. That’s perfect.”
She waved his assistant away and gestured Leopold into one of the rooms. Leopold didn’t freeze, but it was a near thing.
Of all the people in the world who could have been caught from the resistance, Grant Ward wasn’t who he was expecting to see. He kept his face neutral, stepping beside Ophelia across from Grant.
Grant was handcuffed to the table, and managed to keep his expression blank. He didn’t look at either of them, eyes patient, calm, undeterred and unfazed as always.
“Grant Ward,” Ophelia said, handing a tablet over to Leopold with Grant’s file open on it. He didn’t need to look at it. He knew Grant, and his file, inside and out.
“And what was Ward caught doing?”
Ophelia passed a Hydra ID card over.
“Giving aid to the enemy.”
Leopold inspected the ID, a flawless replication as if straight from one of their printers.
“Interesting,” he said, flicking the ID onto the table. “What do you want to do about this?”
“Get me the location of the resistance, by any means necessary.”
“Understood,” Leopold replied, and Ophelia turned and left. “Good afternoon, Grant.”
“Leopold, it’s not -”
“Not what it looks like? Is that what you were going to say? Are you that much of a cliche, Grant? Besides, it looks exactly like you’ve been lying to us all along.”
“I haven’t been lying,” Grant said. “I’ve been entirely truthful with Hydra about who I am.”
“Have you? Because this suggests otherwise,” Leopold said, gesturing to the ID card and to Grant in cuffs against the table. “You’re a part of the resistance, then.”
“Yes, but I didn’t want -”
“What’s that, the sound of complete and utter betrayal?” Leopold asked, and sat down across from Grant, unbuttoning his suit jacket as he went. Grant’s eyes tracked his hands and when Leopold cleared his throat, they snapped up to meet his own, a subtle pink blush along his cheekbones.
“You know I can’t tell you anything,” Grant sighed.
“You know I can’t leave here without it,” Leopold replied. This was the point in the interrogation where Leopold would signal the guard to give the prisoner some physical motivation, but he couldn’t imagine ordering that. Instead, he turned to the guard, Mattheson, and said, “leave us.”
“Sir?”
“You heard me. Leave us.”
“Yes, sir.”
The door shut behind the guard, and Leopold waited a moment before using the tablet to shut off the cameras in the interrogation room.
“Always knew you were too good to be true,” Leopold said teasing lightly. He reached across the table and brushed his fingers along Grant’s hands. “You were reckless.”
“I wasn’t. Skye was just nosier than usual.”
“Let’s get these off you,” Leopold said, moving to open the handcuffs.
“Don’t.”
“I’m not going to torture you, Grant.”
“They’ll get suspicious.”
“Then we’ll make it look good, but I don’t want to hurt you. I don’t care about the resistance.”
“You can’t, Leopold.”
Leopold leaned over the table and kissed him softly. He’d known dating Grant and loving Grant like this would be the end of him. He’d known and let himself be pulled into him, letting himself absolutely drown in him. Grant was good, and bright, and witty. Even if he wasn’t Hydra and loyal to the organization, he had always been loyal to Leopold.
"Don't make me do this," Leopold said quietly, and he pressed his thumb into the fingerprint scanner on the cuffs. They beeped open, and fell away from Grant's wrists. "I won't hurt you. I made you a promise, and I'm going to keep it."
"The only place you'll be safe after this is inside the resistance, inside SHIELD. You won't see your friends, your father ever again."
"I don't care."
Grant stood up and circled the table, taking Leopold's jaw in his hands. He leaned into his boyfriend's touch, glad to be close to him.
"This will ruin you."
"Then ruin me," he said, looking at Grant in the eyes. Then, more seriously, he said, "ruin me, Grant."
