Asleep on the Transport

Relationship: 10th Doctor x reader

Summary: you fall asleep on his shoulder. (Not an established relationship)

You were not comfortable.

For some unexplicable reason, you and the Doctor had been caught and put on a transport that almost resembled a prison. There were no seats, just a big white room full of people sitting on the floor and clinging to each other, unsure of what awated them at the end of the journey. But you two had a plan, and after years of travelling with him this was a pretty standard adventure.

The Doctor and you were in a corner with enough room so you weren't squished against anyone else. You stuck close though, neither of you wanting to let go of the other. He sat closer to both walls and tried to keep buisy with a toy mouse. He was sonicking it with his screwdriver, as unable to stay still as ever.

After all the running you both had done today, you had to admit you were tired. The ride would be long, and your eyes kept closing.

You made yourself as comfortable as possible and leaned into the Doctor's side. "'S it okay if l go to sleep?" you mumbled to him.

He looked up at you and smiled, something gentle in his deep brown eyes. He replied softly, "'Course. C'm 'ere."

He put his arm around you so you fit better against him, and you leaned your head on his shoulder. You sighed and closed your eyes. With the rumble of the engines and the Doctor by your side, you drifted off to sleep.

He stilled now, with you against his shoulder. He was so glad he got to hold you. Pride bloomed in his chest when you felt comfortable enough to sleep next to him, even out in the open.

He never truly said, but he took such comfort in your presence. It felt good not to be alone, but it felt so much better than that with you - something soft and warm inside him. There was light in his mind now wherever he went, and he had you to thank for that. The universe seemed better because of what you two shared; because he got to share it with you.

The Doctor nuzzled his cheek into your hair and fell asleep with a smile.

I slept on it and now have feelings about Doctor Who. The more I think about it, the more I hate it.

We have honestly reached a new LOW in this show we have never ever reached before. Say what you want about Chibnall (he was a shit writer), but at least he was trying something new. He was trying to forge a new story, no matter how poorly it was executed.

RTD keeps bringing things back from the past and ruining it by making terrible endings and stories that just flat out dont make sense. The show CANNOT run on nostalgia alone, and it absolutelycannot run on disappointing (and in this case offensive) endings. It needs someone competent to write a complete story.

We need someone new to the game to become showrunner. Someone that actually cares. Someone that hasn't been writing for the show for decades, and is stuck in their own glory days to see how TERRIBLE his writing has become.
