Omg I read your ficlet about Langdon and his chronic pain. it was so good that I wanted it to be canon in Season 3 so baaaad! Like, I truly believe he deserves to have a real conversation about his back pain with Robby. His addiction is clearly tied to years of chronic pain and trying to cope with it.
Right?
I am begging The Pitt to go into detail on this. Legitimately, because his addiction didn’t exist and come to be on a vacuum. The fact that he is still in pain in season two makes it pretty clear, at least to me, that the initial addiction was caused by a lack of support surrounding an injury not healing how it should.
Now that could be a failure amongst his doctors. It could be a lack of pain management, or not being believed, or not feeling safe enough to be honest. Maybe not having a proper plan for getting off the medication he was on. It could be not being supported at work, not feeling like he could tell Robby he was struggling or being pressured into coming back to work. It could be external weight from finances, or from his residency program, or from his own need to prove himself (to Robby, might I add).
People so rarely just develop a substance use disorder. His comments to Robby about being teased for his injury and to Whitaker about playing through the pain again just so obviously lend itself to a bigger picture and I need them to talk about it so badly.
A lack of understanding from doctors. A lack of support and accommodation in the workplace. A lack of understanding surrounding the whole thing. How is he treating it now? What’s going on with it? What was the initial injury? What was done when he was getting it treated in the first place? I understand that we won’t get everything but this conversation really desperately needs to be had.
I don’t want Langdon to be reduced to his addiction throughout the run of the show. Season two, yeah, I get it, it’s his first day back so of course it’s going to be mentioned repeatedly (and his lack of shame around it is so important), and it’s going to have to come up at times, but I want them to talk to the characters — and therefore the audience — about the complicated factors leading into what happened.
C’mon, The Pitt. You can do it, can’t you?

I saw your bunny tail just showing up out of nowhere when you've never had one, Jax
i think one of the main mischaracterizations i've seen in the mm12 fandom is the thought that the whole "group" were friends

iirc caleb and itrapped did NOT like each other
i'm pretty sure no one liked caleb except for ellernate💔💔
