1. Chocolate :D it’s like solid happiness, especially when I’m only in a moderately sad mood and hence don’t add on fat-shaming when eating it. Yay, chocolate!

2. Silly Marauders-era headcanons make me so happy. Ridiculously happy. Yay, my tumblr dashboard <3

3. When my dogs act like puppies. Especially the older one who pretends he’s big and mature most of the time then sometimes you catch him rolling around and it’s adorable. Also just puppies in general. And dogs. And other cute things.

4. Friends. Yay, gonna be hanging out with people all week with booze and movies and craft (which are also good things that make me happy that didn’t make the cut)

5. Music. Because I just remembered that OMG I have my first performance with my new choir this week and it’s gonna be exciting and I really need to learn the words to one of our pieces *sweats nervously*

I have never been to a country that borders my own.

I'm incapable of doing laundry in a timely manner.

My first nightmare (that I remember) was of the T-rex at the Natural History Museum. Just that. It didn't do anything, it was just there. Apparently that was terrifying to my 3 year old self.

I have the worst memory. My friends will say, "Remember when x random funny thing happened?" and even after several rounds of detail-sharing, half the time I still have no idea what they're talking about. Or I'll only remember the vaguest parts about random stuff, usually about how I felt about the thing or the general atmosphere of it, rather than any concrete details. This annoys me, because I feel like it makes me seem like I don't care about these things or the way they make up our lives, and that's the opposite of true.

1. You know those lines between friendship, romantic interest, and sexual interest? I don't. I just kind of either like someone (all of the above) or don't (none of the above).

2.I have a scar on my lower lip. it's only really visible when I stretch my lip back. I sliced it open by falling on a metal pan used to clean the ashes out of the fireplace when I was a toddler, and it stuck.

3. Whoever said a bath never hurt anyone is wrong, 'cos one nearly killed me. In particular, never bathe infants straight after a vaccination, because they can really struggle to recover their core temperature if they have a mild reaction. I'm still not vaccinated against whooping cough because there's no good replacement to the one I'm allergic to.

4. In spite of all this medical talk, I have never had surgery, broken a bone, or even had stitches. I'm an only child, not particularly adventurous and don't like sport, so there weren't many opportunities.

5. I give really good massages. Unfortunately, people seem reticent to take me up on my offers, and my arms start locking up after a little while, or I'd try making it a job.

And because I'm a rebel, and 90% of these messages need to be ignored or it will take over all of tumblr, I'm not sending it on, but anyone who feels like oversharing is welcome to!

My useless superpower is being able to listen to a song on repeat for hours to days and still not know any of the words but the beginning of the chorus, and even that only happens if I'm trying.

If I had to pick one food to eat forever it might well be perfectly ripe white peaches.

When I sleep I tend to stay perfectly still for the whole time and it has been known to freak people out. (I have also been known to sit still enough in video chat that people started asking me if my camera had frozen.)

As a teenager I waged a fruitless war of Principle with my father on the issue of washing the lids to pots.

Once when I was still skating I was on a team that was entirely filled with people younger than me and we were skating to 'Just Dance' by Lady Gaga and our guest choreographer asked us to think about what the song was about and I, perfectly deadpan, replied, "it's about getting drunk and sleeping with strangers" and only after I'd received shocked looks remembered that that is not the kind of thing one says around other people's children.

I’m not so sure that there was a specific person that changed my mind about them; it was more a general increase in awareness that they were a potential thing and they were AWESOME and I would LOVE THEM SO HARD IT’S EMBARRASSING and I would totally end up making AN ENTIRE SIDE BLOG FOR THEM just so I wouldn’t miss any new fic…

I used to think C/C was that pairing, but apparently there are a lot more of us shipping them than I originally thought.  Who knew?  ^_~  Honestly, I’d have to stretch pretty far back in my fandom memory to find ships like that, but I’m sure they’re there.
